Carl Lumbly impressed me so much as the voice of C.M. Porter. He really made me feel the loss of his wife. I remember I even tweeted @ him, to tell him that he made me believe in a video game character for the first time - believe in them insofar as I didn't think of them as an actor reading a script or a collection of pixels but really, honestly felt their pain and anguish. I was amazed at how "real" his dialog was, and how it impacted me.

I finished the DLC a few hours ago. I got the entire BioSock collection on my Switch last month and have been playing through the games. Completed Infinite yesterday and the Burial at Sea DLC after Minerva's Den. I love this series and I'm glad I got into it. I just need to completed Burial at Sea part 2. Minerva's Den was great and I found Sigma/Porter to be much more interesting than Delta tbh.

It depends on the level of automation. Heat pumps from the thermal vents could keep it habitable, as long as the leaks were more or less controlled. We saw some big daddies do repair work (exterior welding) so it's possible. O2 can be extracted from the ocean, just like seawater can be desalinated. The food supply would be the big challenge. Someone still living there would have to find a way to get fish.

Fun Fact: i played the entire Bioshock Series 2 times on my PS3 (the last time was 4 Years ago), except for the Minvera's Den DLC. 'Cause, i didn't knew about DLC at first. But, this time i have played it on PS4 and it was really interesting. And well, i think that Minvera's Den either takes place after or parallel to Delta's Story. Because, we don't see or hear from Tenenbaum after the starting portion of Bioshock 2 anymore.

bioshock 2 ending where eleanor goes on by herself made me cry and i remember blankly staring at the screen after finishing minerva's den with tears rolling down my eyes like, man... nearly a decade later and revisiting my favorite series B2 still makes me tear up. game as a whole was looked over and i'll never understand why. it's beautiful

I Dunno about mark meltzer but Johnny topside was able to but he didnt because he died before Eleanor reached land but he was able to because he took off his helmet in the intro to bs2 and you can find lore that says that all alphas weren't graphted to their suits like the bouncer, rosie or lancer

Because Jonny topside's heart was bound to Eleanor...towards the end Sophia lamb suffocates Eleanor long enough to sever the unique ADAM bond they had, so much so that by the end he dies from heart failure despite being right next to Eleanor... Subject delta was the only alpha series to bond with a little sister befoe Suchong found better ways to forge the bond, so it's assumed that Sigma was made as a worker of sorts as it seems and never bonded to a little sister like Delta was

@@Bshadow27 Mark is loose in Rapture bonded to his daughter during the events of Bioshock 2 as a proper modern Big Daddy. Curing an unbonded Alpha Series is one thing, but a fully brainwashed and mutated Big Daddy fused to his suit is another entirely. That's not even to mention how it's possible you might have killed him as Subject Delta over the course of the game to get his daughter's ADAM or if Tenenbaum even knew or cared about him

In many ways I enjoyed the 2nd and MD more than the original. I don't understand why some seem to downgrade 2. The biggest mistakes 2 made was removing the U-invent and the map redesign. After getting used to the map layout in the original , the change for 2 was not an improvement for me. I liked the hack meter in 2 alot more than the hack game in the original despite the change in pausing the game. And it was nice having your research progress tracked in 2 , where in the original you had to put yourself at risk when unsure if you had finished researching an enemy.

C. M. Porter's story is interesting because it tells from who Protectors were made (in addition to Mark Meltzer), but DLC does not tell had he been rumbling around in Rapture since becoming a Protector or was he a similar template resuscitated by Vita-Chamber like Delta was. Most likely latter.

SPOILER about Minerva Den's ending!!! In the ending it is confirmed that Tenenbaum finally discovered a cure for ADAM addiction, allowing her to bring Porter back to normal. I would like to believe that she did accomplish that with Eleanor, if her good ending was canonical. As I see Bioshock 3 (with Eleanor as the main protagonist) would be about all 3 of them returning to Rapture to finally end "Rapture Nightmare" against a final foe who took control of the city with Sofia gone (either a new one or reborn Andrew Ryan). A good ending to Bioshock 3 would be that all left splicers would be cured. If so, Eleanor, Brigid & Porter would have accomplished the very thing Andrew Ryan failed to give when he built the city in the first place - a chance for a better life. For anything is better than live as a deformed & psychotic monster in a dying underwater city, which the moment you came here before its downfall, it became a prison.

I like your idea of returning to Rapture, but take the opposite view in everything else. Plasmids make you a god, and 70% of the known world is underwater. An organ regeneration plasmid could heal so many people, and building cities underwater fixes resource competition (once population stabilizes). Also, what the heck happened to Pearl?

Bioshock 2 DLC is so good where Bioshock infinite DLC's are really disappointing.
