Just for the sake of mentioning it, It was said that Dressrosa before Doflamingo took over was peaceful but poor. So it probably had less money than other nations similar in size. Great video by the way!

The nation probably lacked natural resources. Dressrosa is shown to be very rocky, but there do not appear to be any mines or quarries, so they probably lacked any valuable trade goods.

It's also possible that the nobles NEED the heavenly tribute. Due to the insane amount of money they constantly spend, they might need the million per country to fuel it. Basically I'm saying the World Nobles are broke because of how much they spend that even a loss of say, two country's heavenly tribute would essentially make them penniless.

Yeah most of the heavenly tribute is probably used to finance the navy and run the world government. We also found out that they don't force countries to pay it to them. Its simply a condition for an island to join the world goverment. Its also probably not something that breaks a country's economy. We have seen countries like alabasta who pay the tribute and can also afford their own army and don't need rely on the marines for protection.

I wouldn't put it past him, but Wano was and officially (unofficially is of course a different story) still is a country in isolation and completely separate from the rest of the world. Also while countries might try this, I would question if that would be accepted. The celestial dragons are apparently able to make anyone a slave right off the streets if they so desire. I imagine they would have some methods of gathering large amounts of people if needed. Just my two cents.

Speaking of the Revolutionary's raid on Mariejois, you know what I'd love to see? When they do raid Marejois, at the same time, Luffy & co. learn about what happened to Sabo, so they go to Mariejois themselves. During all the mess, Luffy & Dragon end up running into each other and we finally get the meetup that Dragon was foreshadowing at the beginning of episode 325 XD

The Devil Fruit being fed to slaves might not be for exclusive 'sick amusement'. Might be for cataloguing purposes. Feed an unkonwn DF to a slave, pre-seastone bound, find out what it is, if it's useful, kill the slave in an orchard, give the reborn fruit to the Marines and an update note to the editor of the DF Encyclopedia.

Imagine every year the revolutionaries or dragon himself just straight up sank the tribute into the ocean. Idk where you got that, but it seems wrong. A "death tax" is the same as an inheritance tax, and France tops out at 60% of the money received by the beneficiary (if they are the niece/nephew of the deceased. The cap for parent-child transfers is 45% and that's only above 1.8 million euros)

I just recently had a discussion about the economy in One Piece and it's quite interesting, honestly. How much is the Heavenly Tribute? Enough to reduce some countries to famine, but also not too much for the Wapol Metal industry to make it in. I'm honestly quite curious what the Bounty Budget is. If some Biggity Badass Bounty Hunter went and bagged all the Yonko and their Commanders at once, could the bounty office foot the bill? Kaido _has_ been captured multiple times, after all.

Sorry for delaying and watching your new video Tekking, usually good about that. Alright theory time, the tribute. Money, gewls, whatever is on the approved list of assets...slaves too I imagine. Wano holds the highest grade sources of sea stone so they could pay that easily in weight. Flat tax just sucks but that would be completely in character with the Celestial Phallics. Dolflamingo is one of the most vile forms of personified villainy and evil. I mean its not covered directly persay when Luffy saves Dressrosa, but we can assume people died in the bird cage. We know he's killed thousands in the past that way before. The puppet nation trick is just another example of the inbred callousness and disregard for all other life save a fellow Celestial shown by Flamingo.(granted he would kill them just as easily if it was a gain to him). Battle of Onigashima, side track. I think the marines will show up when the battle between the pirates is mostly finished or decently finished at least so everyone has another level of b.s. to add to the current difficulty of whatever fight they are in. Or just wait for the winner at the end and do cleanup... Back to tribute...yeah I think we can actually see this happening in certain parts of the world, aside from obvious geographic importance of an area. The government is just there with an overly large government marine base or administrative installation. Mingo blackmailing the Celestials, awesome except that it created the Dressrosa situation and smile, etc. Nice laugh Tekking, almost manic enough for a good impression, keep working on it😎👍. Celestials freaking🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🍻 No kidding though on those expenditures, wtf like is that your Sunday pocket change? No wonder Dragon is starting a revolution. Mariejoi= house of celestial horrors. So yeah talking about dragons... off topic, i know, but I just read 970 again and it really looks like Oden used conquerors in an “offensive” way. Like it was confirmed by Ashura Doji that that was his “special trick” Oden really had conquerors but if I remember correctly never actually showed it directly, maybe he was able to scar Kaido because he used conquerors in an offensive way
