You should go back and read the lyrics. This song is legit a response to all their "fans" giving them shit for switching up their sound. Never seen a band do something like this to this level (as in the response) and pull it off flawlessly.

@@KardavoxAcademyaccording to a BBC1 interview Sam did the other day, this song is the direction the next album will be moving toward. So, yes they were taking the piss outta the “fans” but they also are enjoying what they’re doing. Sam said “the last album kind of humbled us” “we know why people like us” “we know what we’re good at”

I'm not certain this should be seen as a positive, writing diss tracks against fans who are clearly passionate about the band, the fans who are somewhat responsible for the magnitude of band they are now. The lyrics went from Broken Cross and Naysayer to this.

This song is sick!!! The opening verse reminds me of an Electric Callboy verse from one of their songs. Can't remember which, but it's either Pump It or MC Thunder II. This song rips hard af though and I'm kinda getting a BMTH arc from them? Start hard, go a little softer, meet in the middle and blend them perfectly.

I also want to say this bro. Already warm up with the basics like that. All the time I warm up with the basics. Then I start singing louder and louder. My music teacher years ago taught me the same thing as what you're teaching me. So I've been doing the foundations for years. And I always love your channel. Because these foundations help me warm up. A lot I have a deeper voice. So the voice is a lot deeper, so it sounds. You know, in line with metal but I always do the foundations before. I actually go louder and louder before. And then the tension isn't there? And I always keep my vocals with something to drink afterwards or do you😊 Our dear in it you know like after it😊😊

Absolutely love your channel. Not only do you introduce me to bands I've never heard of (or re-introduce to ones I've forgotten about) but you give your knowledge and insight on how they do what they do. Architects is one such band. I forgot about them and hearing this different sound from them is sick. Also, I really do dig the newer stuff but you should check out a band that's been around 25+ years that's still going strong and still sounds incredible. They're called Zao. Anything you find by them is amazing but 5 Year Winter is among their top songs.

I love this big F U to the haters constantly being negative on Architects eventho they put their soul and everything into their songs. This song was so damn fun! Older Architecs were heavier and since Sam they have went more for relatable songs and more of softer screaming and singing, thats the reason they are hated in the Metalcore community, thats why Sam brought out his lower sick sounding screams and shouts.

So this song is to in some way make fun of the "haters", that has complained about them not being heavy enough. They complained he didn't scream deep, didn't do the BLEGH and didn't do heavy breakdowns or chords anymore - Hence why all of that is in one song. I believe the chants are comments and complaints from "fans", or at least interpretations of those comments. - Love the videos btw

The thing about it is Sam has always been underated in the metal scene. He has very good lows very good highs. The thing about it is you know. He's not the Alex, the terrible. So people always kind of just throw Sam's vocals under the bus. Which is it correct? Cause he's not bad, he's not terrible. He is perfect. You know Sam is good. Sam has very good vocals. There isn't for who he is with me with a louder. Voice and a deeper voice. Metal comes kind of a little naturally but the techniques you know, or can I warm up for my deeper, further and further voices for metal? 1 day I would love to meet you. And you can give me some tips more tips than you already do on your videos because You helped me learn a lot of metal a lot

Lol no disrespect intended but I genuinely winced when you offered to teach Sam how to improve his false cords after saying “I just feel like I’ve never heard him do that (false cord) much!” That being said, you did say you aren’t familiar with their entire discography - but Sam used to have THE *STRONGEST* false cords in the entire game. Do yourself a favor and pull up their track “Left With A Last Minute” and listen to his vocal take at 1:32. You’re welcome.

Mark, I'm a little bit confused. Were you trying to teach a fry scream? Because the sound you made sounded a lot like a compressed voice with maybe some fc behind it. It didn't sound like it had the *closure* of a fry. The screams that I do that I would consider fry have a lot of *closure*, and not as much projection and volume as the sounds you made. Could you explain?
@KardavoxAcademy
@KardavoxAcademy 11 ай бұрын
Haha short answer, no. I was showing one way you can put some fry on a pitched belt. Not something I myself really ever use, but its one way to get there Long answer, fry is a slippery term that seems to change a lot depending on who you're talking to. In the context of deathcore / death metal, I wouldn't call what I talk about here a straight fry scream.

Ok but with this song... I can't help but feel like it's a massive meta take on the fans. The song reads, to me, as a "fuck you all" to the fans, because of the shit that was said about their last 2 albums. The song STARTS with a BLEGH... its HEAVY... but it's not like old architects heavy. Not to mention the prechorus is literally "rent free living in your head. RIP they commented" How many of the fans were being all "Oh rip architects is dead and went pop, now they're bad" (no blegh, must have sounded like the antichrist?) "You dummies only live on the internet" I mean... COME ON. Sorry. I'm done ranting Maybe I'm just reading in to it trying to find my own meaning by looking for super far reaches... but that's what it sounds like to me. Regardless... I fucking love the song. And yes. I am happy.
