Gerald sounds like one of those financial planners who will sell you high fees insurance policies and products that earn him alot of commission. King MisuZulu said something profound. But i loved it when he said that we need to see ourselves as brands. Am obsessed about personal brand. Black professionals also need to take the black brand serious. You go anywhere in retail check how blacks treat other black customers.

What I have earned from my profession is that, it is painful being this man. He is saying he needs numbers of black people to support him, he just realized that the information he has is magnificent for black folk, You can't fight white financial / Economical domination with just information. It is sad the slogans like knowledge is power apply to this race and not the next. We need to learn fancy skills, Languages, lifestyle and when we get to the top where it's lonely. Then we decide that I have to make all this simple for my people, whilst trying to do that you loose capital, a whole supportive network and doors get shut, (By the other race) for what. For a idea that you have of helping people who don't see you. We have all got so many degrees Fahrenheit from University that we can't even support a great idea when we see one. We all blacks have become analysts where it's not necessary to be. Hence we cannot listen and support without quoting Socrates/Obama/Tambo/Mandela/Ghandi. Simple listen and support if it speaks to your needs. Take Note YOUR needs.

Great interview to both of you as always. Please bring him back to further explain estate planning cause that's where we lack as a black community. One more thing I don't agree with him on discouraging people to invest in capital markets cause not everyone wants to be an entrepreneur and to top it there are no venture capital opportunities available to the black community maybe as an additional topic ask him how do we start our own silicone valley using stockvel monies.

I'm not sure what help you need but my financial literacy journey has led me to read a number of books. To begin I suggest Richest Man in Babylon (principles of wealth & money), Rich Dad Poor Dad for a more technical perspective. I haven't yet gotten Mr Mwandiambira's book I shall though. Once you've read those you'll have a better background in money. If you want wealth planning I'm not the guy you'll have to search on your own for that but you have to start somewhere.

around 27:00 you ask if we where not supporting each other to the point of wealth creation. 'my belief, when i try to sell service to my kind they don't want to pay the true value amount of what i am selling. You here them saying buti am your brother please give me a better price which in most cases will be 30% of what am asking for" its not bad to negotiate but lets not kill each other with it hiding behind the my brother/sister thing. Hayi Ta Gerald I believe I'm willing to do 2 hours a month I'll search for your contact details online cause I don't remember seeing them in part 1 when you first came on with the sweater. At this stage I do need wealth planning cause I've killed my debt taught myself rudimentary investing I don't like the environment it's as rigged as you say. So I'm looking more into livestock & property income. I've started a beverage business with my brother we're still at the initial stages being local 6 months in it no longer requires my cash to sustain. I have the policies to protect income and my family from dealing with the hassle of my death, no kids at the moment. I save 50% of my income but bra nothing out here can give 10% return or more & it's a tiring journey this wealth creation and you're right wealth is the most selfless activity which makes it even harder as a young person.

The good thing is you are still alive and where there is life there is hope. It's not too late for you to start living out your business dream etc. Tell yourself you are not running out of time but actually running into time. Remember this proverb, 'a live dog is better than a dead lion'. Be encouraged.
