Thanks for this video. I'm a Heights resident and property owner for 28 years and it would be good for this building to be put to better use for the community. That could include more retail, a community center, artist studios or other possibilities. Residential development is inevitable but the height of the project is unquestionably out of scale with the surrounding structures and the neighborhood. The other thing the Heights doesn't need is more cars. 1 to 1 parking in developments is not going to solve congestion problems. It will only put more cars on our streets. Remember, cars don't stay in parking spaces. RNA has been pushing for better bus service in the Heights. Great, but if we bring more cars those buses will just continue to be stuck in congestion. We need more creative ideas and thinking that will discourage more car ownership and encourage more walking, biking and mass transit usage.

Jersey City Heights needs more daring, dynamic architecture and MVMK has designed one at 107 NY Ave. RNA and Pershing Field Assoc are a very small group of people who only speak for themselves not the Heights community as a whole. Parking and the loading dock issues are legitimate concerns but the gentleman who spoke about a crane falling on his house does not have any merit. As a long time Heights residence this building, with some modifications, has my seal of approval.

I could not show everyone who attended but it was over 200 people that showed up. All except one did not want this design.

Jersey Digs has 12 for the project, 8 against. That is a 60% approval.

@@jameswarhol44212 compare to over 200, those are not good odds.

What one can extrapolate is that people who attend the meeting are the anti-project group. People who don't attend have a more divided opinion. My guess would be, if one were to do a comprehensive survey in the Heights, the ratio would be about 1/3 for, 1/3 against, 1/3 neutral.

😂😂😂 I love the people of the heights. Speaking up and calling out the bullshit.

@ 26 min women speaks well regarding community rather than staging through developer and the City admin then dumping in the laps of the long term residents. Development Perks will only raise taxes ans the size will over burden the schools and roads.
