Farming is a tough lifestyle I’m 18 and just started the 4th generation and commodity prices keep dropping and people pressure me to go to college but I’m not giving up on the farm life. Farmer strong💪🏻

If you grew up farming and want to farm, chances are you can work a farm. Best advice I can give you is to sit down with your old man and learn the business side. There is a substantial difference between working a farm and running a farm.

@@freisdairyllc6898 absolutely. I'm a machinery dealer, and it's so sad when the next generation thinks you can be a dumb old farmer, and dad has never taught them the most important side of the operation. It takes a real manager to make it farming when times aren't great!

If you sat at a table and shared a meal with your family today, then thank a farmer, a rancher, a trucker and God. Without each of them it wouldn't have happened. +++

This song is so beautiful and I love how it gives us an insight into what farming means to the workers. I don't think it gets enough credit! The whole concept reminds me of Jason Isbell's "Something More Than Free" . Someone who has never walked in those shoes may see it as just work but it means so much more than that, and holds even more value than one might first think.

I would do anything in this entire world to witness my papaw turning dirt again. He went to heaven on Nov 17, 2023. Left us a legacy to build on for generations to come. God bless him and the stewardship of the land he farmed. God bless every single farmer out there who sacrifices for his family and the land he previously preserves for his family to carry on. I'm so thankful to be a 3rd generation farmer because of my papaw.

Farming is a tough but fun job. I grew up on my dads farm in sw Kansas this song brings back so many memories over the years but I don’t really know how much longer it will last because we are running out of water for irrigation and it doesn’t rain it’s a praying and a worrying job because of that pray for rain!!

This song should get some sort of international award. I farm in South Africa and our farmers are being murdered by greedy people who want to take the land for themselfes and they let families futures fall right into the ground. This song had me in tears😭😭THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Hi Guys :) This song is absolutely beautiful! Thank you for all your hard work that went into it. You will never guess where I found it... I logged out of my Strikingly panel and your site was one of the ones featured. So I went browsing a bit :) Here is the strange bit... I'm South African & I generally don't like country music. So I don't really have a way to relate to it besides for Blake Shelton on The Voice, don't really know much else... LOL Here is why I relate to it. I'm a Health Coach and the way I became a health coach is by starting and organic online store. Having the organic online store, I dealt with a lot of organic farmers. I understand the impact food has on every single human on this planet and the need for good, clean food. Not only to keep us healthy (I specifically use it as medicine) but to enjoy and celebrate with. What would a party or any gathering be without food! I have great admiration and respect for farmers. These days they are becoming more important than doctors. Thank you so much for your song. I will keep it forever.

He knows every stone that's been struck by the plow There's a pile by the barn by the sweat of his brow The land has his heart and he rarely complains And it holds his knees when he prays for rain He's a dusty old carhartt and the light in the barn He'll work the late hours and he's up before dawn Every man has a story and the story goes on From grandad's eyes to a new born son Why I farm is in my blood, like the sunlight is on my skin Is who I meant to be, is who I've always been Is more than just a living, it's my way of life And it grows like seed inside my heart That's why I farm We always pull through when we thought we would brake In the flood '93, in the draught '88 The Lord has his timing 'cause only he knows That when next year comes the crops will grow Find more lyrics at ※ Mojim.com Why I farm is in my blood, like the sunlight is on my skin Is who I meant to be, is who I've always been Is more than just a living, it's my way of life And it grows like seed inside my heart That's why I farm That's why I farm Tough the world may shake around me, still I am stable [Still I am stable] For as long as I am able [I am able], I'll work this way [It's who I am] 'Cause when heaven comes this close to what you're holding [Holding] This life is but a moment in a bigger plan Why I farm is in my blood, like the sunlight is on my skin [That's why I farm] Is who I meant to be, is who I've always been Is more than just a living, it's my way of life And it grows like seed inside my heart Living on long after I depart That's why I farm That's why I farm
