This video was made NOT out of hate towards new GoW soundtrack, but out of love to old one. I admire both old and new compositions, as well as their respective composers. My work is just a fan cry, and my goal WAS NOT to replace "some boring" or "non-true GoW" music (because it's awesome as well). All that said...
Not a single bit of original score was used! Enjoy the Classic Soundtrack!

@@fallb0rn oh hey, fancy seeing you here 😅 thanks bro, glad you liked it, was going full GoW3 style with that ending. And yeah, i love that fight too, first experience was awesome. But i think the anticipation is what made it for me, ever since i first met him as Atreus i was itching to meet him as Kratos lol. And when the time finally comes, they on purpose raising your excitement, like i love that phrase Heimdall throws right before the fight starts: "So, what'cha got?". It's the details and anticipation that made this encounter just perfect for me.

I both love and hate how the bosses DONT acknowledge if your surprisingly good or doing well. On the one hand its infuriating, but on the ither it just makes you fight harder, or want to on some level. Edit : HOLY COW, the surprise ending, and the nice little touch at the very end. Bet that took a lotta work, hats off to you and your poor fingers for pulling off some of those hand breaking combos
@CoolSaver
@CoolSaver Ай бұрын
@@WeaverOfStories Much obliged, both me and my fingers 😅 Glad you enjoyed the fight, that last phase with Blade of Olympus took a lot of practice. As you can see, i wasn't stopping between combos, moving around or dodging anything. I was always close to him, countering every attack he throws. All of that was intentional, i wanted to give an impression that Kratos in this moment is that raging machine of death that Heimdall has no way of stopping. No matter what he tries, he just bounces like a fly against the wall, that continues pushing him, slow and steady, until it finally crushes him. It was a challenge to play this way, but it was lots of fun :) If you wanna see some more cool fights, check my latest video btw. And about the bosses not acknowledging your play style, i think it would've been fun if, for example, when you deplete some portion of their health bar without taking damage yourself, it would've triggered some special dialogues from them. It's a great thing for replayability purposes. Or even some additional animations for no damage'ing the whole fight, idk, the only thing i know of something like that is Sir Alonne from Dark Souls II. If you no damage his fight in under 5 mins or smth, he will go out with a seppuku (so shameful to be beaten like this!). I honestly wish action games did more stuff like this, it's really cool imo. Thanks again for watching and commenting!

@@CoolSaver No Problem Bro :D. I hope that in future games, they don't turn Kratos into a boring character who is extremely distant from the wild side that says we should help people we must be good we must be peacefull. because he has been very separated from his younger self in Valhalla.

The hype was well placed! When I first played Ragnarok, I half-expected to hear Rage of Sparta when Kratos started getting pissed at Heimdall, and this scratched that itch! The TC Carson lines responding to Heimdall fit pretty damn well! And finally, the quick time events at the very end were mwah - chefs kiss! Gave me that old fashioned god-killer vibe fr fr

@@steamingsteve2 thanks mate, glad it did! That's basically the point of this series, to give new games a little bit (or sometimes not a little, like here) of classic taste. So i'm happy you felt that way and enjoyed it, thanks for watching and commenting :) Btw, i miss QTE's too :(
@steamingsteve2
@steamingsteve2 3 ай бұрын
@@CoolSaver Hell yeah, brother. I also miss QTE's. They gave GOW a special flavor before everyone and their mother tried using them. But out of all of them, GOW's always felt the best implemented
@CoolSaver
@CoolSaver 3 ай бұрын
@@steamingsteve2 i like how they're still trying to do them, like sometimes you still do need to press or mash buttons in the cutscenes or enemies' executions, so they're not fully rejected them, but for some reason it became so pale in comparison to old games, like a straight downgrade, while up to GoW3 it was an upgrade with every game. I also liked how the button prompts were random, it feels more like an actual mini-game this way, sure there also were scripted ones to correspond with what's happening on the screen, especially if it's a stick turn or an important cutscene, but nowadays it's ONLY scripted ones. But I can't blame GoW only for that, game industry in general just deserted QTE's, but i just fail to see the reason why. Was they really too hard or just not fun for the most people? If anything, you can make another accessibility setting, so you can turn them off or make them easier... please, Santa Monica? 😅
@steamingsteve2
@steamingsteve2 3 ай бұрын
@@CoolSaver I think a lot of people just found them annoying and a cheap gimmick or smth like that. Like I've heard sum ppl refer to RE4's QTE's, but I liked those ones a lot and it gave the game character, yet I hated the ones in RE5 lmao
@CoolSaver
@CoolSaver 3 ай бұрын
@@steamingsteve2 oh yeah, definitely. They went all out in RE6 with it as well, but it's got charm, like it's so stupid that i love it. It's not only everywhere and often out of place, but it's also so flashy and loud, i remember how stupid it felt in the intro of the game when you just trying to open a fucking door, and there's this anime-styled QTE shows up, haha. Oh man, that's why i love Resident Evil.

I have a theory about those special videos. Kratos is in Valhalla again but this time the younger and angrier Kratos is tested by the afterlife, in battles that take place in Norse cause of events like his first fight with Thor, that made him unleash the monster inside, and Heimdall's fight, which he killed cause it was destined that the watchman of the aesir would kill his son!

@@ΔημήτρηςΑβραάμ-φ7σ oh wow, an interesting view for sure, especially considering what i have in mind for the final part. You kinda scratching one of the main ideas of this series, which isn't something unique on itself, but still i won't spoil it for now :) Thanks for taking your time to wrap up your thoughts about it, i think your theory can easily interpret it like this, you'll see after it's finished.

Damn I missed this one! Well done homie, great execution overall. I like the banter between Heimdall and young Kratos, kinda reminds me of the zeus battle from gow2. Oh and I wanted to point out there was a missed opportunity to add some blood splats when Kratos smashed his face in, good stuff tho.
@CoolSaver
@CoolSaver 2 ай бұрын
@@Robdrummerkid thanks bro! Yeah, I really liked adding dialogues, even replayed half of 2018'th game to catch some of Mimir ones. Glad you enjoyed :) And there will be even more of this in the last part, but it might take more time than i expected (partially because of my personal things). As for the blood splats, i think that's a bit too much for a Share Factory editing sadly, but to be honest... i think i prefer it clean, no additional effects unless i can make them look like it's part of the original game (i clearly can not). Fallb0rn did it though! You should definitely check it out, you can find link to his vid in the description. And thanks again for keep commenting my stuff :)

What I asked here is why the Norse gods, unlike the Olympian gods, do not explode or do their deaths cause some disaster in the kingdoms?
@CoolSaver
@CoolSaver 3 ай бұрын
@@Kratos2008-if2sh i think it's because they're just different. Norse mythology is more grounded compared to Greek, all the "Gods walking the earth amongst humans" theme, so their deaths are more grounded as well. About disasters idk, they should cause them though, but it seems to only be the case with Baldur alone.
