It's a darned good thing that Frickin' Fallon never worked with Farley. His tendency to constantly break character and pull focus from everyone else probably would not have sat well with Farley.

@@bleepblop9556 From 1990 to 1993, SNL had the most robust concentration of talent that they had ever had -- before or since. During those years, there wasn't a single individual that carried the show. There were just funny, and funnier cast members. The comedic synergy that was produced in those years was incredible. Sadly, all great things must come to an end. Once SNL lost Dana Carvey, Mike Myers, Julia Sweeney, Melanie Hutsell, and Phil Hartman -- the show would never be as great as it once was. Thankfully, Norm MacDonald on Weekend Update helped to keep the show somewhat watchable, but then Norm was fired for making offensive jokes; and that was the final death knell, as far as I'm concerned.

@Nenethegreat W sounds like you might be projecting your own feeling, nothing against the guy because he did fine but his role just wasn't that funny

It's fascinating. Great in LOST BOYS, Jason Patric gives a solid, committed, professional performance in this sketch, he's quite good, but some people, like him, are specifically born to play the "leading man" archetype. Whereas Chris Farley was kissed by God to make glorious laughter ring out. (And Sandler's good at making America settle for hollow Ponzi scheme fart movies.)

The just do it movement before it was cool. Chris Farley should've gotten an Emmy for his work on here. He was truly ahead of his time.

I have a theory… now hear me out. The Grown ups movies had former SNL cast members… Had he not tragically died; Chris Farley would have played Kevin James’ part

Most people shit on Sandler and say he rode Chris Farley's coat tails, but here I think you can see how he was actually the perfect comedic partner to Farley. The other guy is trying his best to basically do what Farley is but worse, while Sandler is basically setting up the joke for Farley. He wrote the skits and usually played straight man to Farley's insanity, and it was amazing.
