I love the "behind the scenes" story about this skit. Farley was filming Tommy Boy in Hollywood, and Lorne made him fly to NY just to speak one line in this very skit. Farley was "in a mood", as Sandler stated recently - and he tried to make Adam break character by looking at him with a crazy cross-eyed expression. You can see him also reach for Adam as he walks away from the table, almost like he's trying to tickle him - anything he can do to make Adam crack up. I love stuff like that! RIP to the great Chris Farley and Phil Hartman.

True it was filmed in Canada. Not too far from NY. Still, Chris was mad that he had to fly to NY for 2 lines. So like everyone else said. Chris spoke normally in rehearsals. Ultimately making Adam break. Amazing!

Dana Carvey and Adam Sandler were always two of my favorites on SNL

Carvey just said on Stern that he tells Sandler "dont break" in that accent. I never caught that lol 5:10

Chris Farley was kryptonite to Adam Sandler breaking. And I love every minute of it. Wish I had more.

Chris Farley was just powerfully funny 100% of the time. 30 second minor role in a sketch? Crushes it.

5:04 I never noticed until I saw Carvey's interview on Howard Stern. He says softly to Sandler "don't a break" after Farley tries to make him laugh
@adamdesanti6713 Жыл бұрын
Farley is cross-eyed when saying his lines to Sandler. He always tried to make him crack. Also, Carvey is just so, so good in this sketch. And Sandler with his pseudo-Bobby Boucher antics. Chuck McGill with the epilogue!

I needed that laugh this morning. Completely forgot about this one.

This is far funnier than how the audience reacted

That happened on occasion. I guess certain audiences were just not getting what the cast members were going for sometimes.

Sorry. Farley was terrific. But this was Carvey's skit from the second he opened his mouth.

So cool this sketch has been finally uploaded to KZbin. I remember watching this live in 95. Probably Sandler’s top 5 sketch ever. So damn funny. I hope him hosting tonight is going to be worth while and bring back the nostalgia that made SNL great as it once was.

The whole skit seems meta now. Dana passing the pepper torch through love and kindness. And then management ruining everything.
