I'm guessing the idea to do a hermitcraft mini-season came from the caves and cliff's split. The idea to write lore around it was a genius idea. Well done to all the hermits!

See I don't think this was the initial plan until *after* the experimental snapshots started, cause it dramatically changed the world generation and by pruning the chunk despite the blending of current terrain would work pruning chunks isn't as clean, but as the snapshots came around the idea came around, much like welknights he had already started the mega build for the season but hasn't posted in a long time with hermitcraft and I think it's because of it becoming a mini season he lost inspiration, but adding the lore to why things have been so weird around the HC server helps make a lot of things make sense

The way I figure it Evil X was the infection or Jeff the minion controlling Evil X which explains why X’s powers diminished and soon disappeared due to the moon firewall and the Octagon’s installation and the reason why evil X couldn’t escape the moon firewall was because he was in the hermatrix and didn’t realize it because Jeff the minion was controlling him the majority of the time. That’s my theory please let me know if you agree or disagree

Yeah same here, it was so short and so many things they said would happen didn't happen at all. For example what was said at the start of the season with the chunks outside the continent getting whatever the word is because of 1.18. I wonder what made them decide to take this route

The Hermatrix ARG and plot line was so good! Thank you so much Ren (and Doc) for all the hard work behind the scenes it must have required to pull off! This was the first season of Hermitcraft I watched as it was released, and I enjoyed every second of it. I especially loved all the storytelling aspects this season had (though if you and the other Hermits to not do so for future seasons, I understand, especially since this was supposed to be a more experimental season). Though with what I’m guessing is the Nothing attached to the back of the Hermitheus, there’s always the chance that it may pop up again when it’s least expected. Can’t wait to see what ideas and stories you tell next season, Ren! Also, you and Doc realizing what you two did after murdering everyone just like “… Did we really just do that?” was so funny. XD

This is the best episode I have watched of HermitCraft. But no one is talking about your lore. I saw one person talk about it but they talked about it like The Stargazer, Hermitrix and GigaCorp weren’t linked. It’s like no one cares about this masterpiece.

I watch quite a lot of the hermits. Glad I chose you for last (which is why I am watching it a few days after release). I had watched Docs video with the lore, but this explains it further. If I was to suggest which hermits to watch for season 8, You and Doc would be top of the list. I also watched Grain (cave street base), Mumbo (peace love and plants), Scar (swaggan), Karalis (island, big eyes and beef), Bdubs (paths, horces, clocks, sleep), Tango (Fifi), Cleo (not candles), Etho (horse rase), iscal (no wings), x (dirpcoin)

The Hermits seriously deserve like an Emmy or some sort of equivalent for this amazing season 8!!! Ren and Doc you have been EPIC all season, but yeah ALL the Hermits have made Moon BIG, an amazing display of what a SMP can be. Just Stunning!!!
