The whole of this Hermitcraft season feels like everything is corrupted in some manner. Beef is turning weirder and weirder, Impulse lives of crystals, Mumbo is living in harmony with nature... Ren & Doc made a Huge Virus looking "crab" which summons infinite lightning... I mean it's not the first time Doc makes something ridiculous. But this season seems weird, and Cubfan somehow gets free cauldrons... from everyone. I mean, he's gotten so many cauldrons now, it's insane. And Cauldrons are a very evil item.

Doc had the alien technology in s6 (villagers), Ren was a hippie, then the Star Wars thing, etc. They probably couldn’t think of a way to tie the giant lightning machine into the world so they blamed the viewers because it’s fricking cool and worth showing on its own.

I had actually submitted the copper oxidising faster underwater suggestion on r/minecraftsuggestions and the mod removed it stating that it's a myth and doesn't really happen IRL

I mean, oxidisation does need oxygen to work. If something is completely submerged it won't oxidise as fast. But sporadic contact with water does hasten the process a bit. So yeah, although it is a myth of sorts, it isn't exactly unbased either. However, what really speeds it up is acidic environments. Or road salt, wine, and even fertilizer. But sadly we don't have much to simulate that in Minecraft. So Imo it'd still be very cool if for instance the dripping from dripstones could speed it up. Or something relating to flowing water.

@@DyslecticAttack well, oxygen isn't required; 1 being that ClF3 is a better oxidising agent than oxygen itself and produces CuF2 and CuCl/CuCl2 both of which are forms of verdigris (green corrosion on copper and copper alloys), and 2 because copper oxides aren't verdigris, but red or black, with the primary forms of verdigris being basic copper carbonate (carbon-oxide heavy rain), basic copper chloride (saltwater), copper sulphides (acid rain from coal burning), copper acetate (acetic acid [vinegar]), and copper hydroxide (water). Long and short, copper will produce blue-green verdigris faster when exposed to rain and water, especially acid rain and saltwater and will instead turn a dark blood red if exposed to oxygen (though this will also readily turn to verdigris as it's a less stable salt than most of those listed above).

Tell that mod to look up acquired patinas, verdigris, and copper (ii) hydroxide and copper (i) chloride. Any amount of research should show that copper exposed to water and saltwater will rust blue faster than copper exposed to air (when exposed to air it oxidises and then either forms the carbonate or sulphide->sulphate salts and will go from orange to red to brown/grey/black to blue-green).

Hermitcraft finally get Bedrock's fun with tridents. The best thing being that our tridents never despawn and we can channel lighting during any normal rainstorm. Van Der Graaf would be proud!

As someone whos only really played bedrock I always wished I had Java instead. I havent played in like 2 years but I just felt like you could do so much more in java and redstone made more sense in java.
