About the sea water being a Devil Fruit weakness bit, Oda has clarified this multiple times in SBS, but fans just refuse to learn this for the past two decades: It's not so much about "the Ocean", so much as STANDING water. Being submerged in a Lake, or a River, or even a Bath has the same effect across the board: a Devil Fruit User will lose as much energy (NOT necessarily power, _just_ body energy) directly proportional to the percentage of the body that is submerged. If you're ankle-deep, you're 10% affected. If you're waist-deep, that's 50% affected, and so on. This is in contrast to RUNNING water: rain, showers, spashes. Those do NOT have an effect on (almost) any User. Luffy can fight in the pouring Rain and be totally fine (we see this in Loguetown, for example). Crocodile is a RARE exception, where his Devil Fruit _happens_ to be weak to water REGARDLESS of whether or not it is Running or Standing. For this episode specifically, Lucci & Luffy are both ankle-deep, so they lose about 10% of energy, _loosely._ Given that Lucci is much bigger, it stands to reason he would be less affected since less of his total body is technically submerged compared to Luffy who is a short king... but now we're getting into nonsensical powerscaling & pixel measuring.

XD In regards to the water-level affecting fruit eaters, it has to be above their knees in order for them to feel weak. Devil Fruit users are able to handle a little bit of water. For instance, Kalifa submerged most of her body while in her bathtub, but didn't lose enough strength to the point that she'd pass out and drown while bathing.

She was likely weakened and wouldnt have been able to use her powers cause that is way too high to do that, but yeah it wasnt deep enough to drown in. The rule is theyre only slightly weakened if theyre submerged up to about where Luffy and Lucci are. But if it were to get to their knees theyd be in trouble. Running water also is less effective because its harder to be submerged.

What a rollercoaster this was! After an actionpacked previous episode, we get an episode that centers on Robin and feels like that combination of heattbrake and satisfaction! This proved what Saul told her back on Ohara.. about her finding some friends! I have never felt more sorry for a character and I could feel the pain she was going through! It was emotional, it was tense and it was SO god damn satisfying! Ir was the moment i had been waiting for and I was pleased! The writing at this point is the best! Its at times like these when you realize how great this show qnd how much it has payed off that you stuck with it for this long!

Like I know it’s a fictional story but Oda had a profound effect on my life with the messages he delivered through these amazing characters. Reminder of a big difference in power systems between the original and live-action: In the original Devil Fruit users are incapacitated by being submerged in "The Sea", which has been defined by Oda as "any standing body of water". So rain doesn't affect them, nor does a shower, nor would a bucket being poured onto their head. But the ocean, a lake, a river, or even a bathtub absolutely drains their power, and drains it more the deeper and more completely they're submerged. It doesn't turn off their Powers, but rather it saps their power to act, leaving them paralyzed and inert. In the live action, this was changed to "The Sea", as defined as "salt water", the literal physical make-up of the ocean. So they aren't affected by rain, or showers, or freshwater lakes or rivers, or bathtubs, but ANY sea water saps their strength, whether they are submerged in it or merely splashed by it. This is a HUGE difference and the full extent of the implications have yet to be seen in the live action (like, for example, any time they're on the Grand Line and a wave washes onto the deck. That seems like a big problem), but in this particular scene with Lucci cutting open the wall under water, they were only up to their ankles. Any weakening they'd be feeling at that point would be negligible, as evidenced by when Luffy and co were held in Rain Dinners and Luffy only began to flag when he was thigh deep in water.

Kaku had Robin's Key,and he gave it voluntarily. This saga would be even more perfect with more in-depth exploration of Kaku and Lucci.

@JaimePonsPK She is genuinely one of the best "single arc" secondary characters along with Wyper, Iceburg and Kyros. She also has a nice backstory that doesn't feature her as the main character and it isn't on the nose. You can basically see and understand when she became depressed and an alcoholic, namely the moment when Tom is deported to EL and Franky is presumed dead. But the series doesn't throw it in your face and EL's events make her feel much happier and more alive, being able to actively do what she couldn't 10 years earlier.
