Midna's anger would be justifiable if the fate of the Twili was known to the rest of Hyrule, but the Twili had presumably been stuck there for centuries at that point and Shade would probably be the last person to know about something like that. If it was a prison that hadn't been opened in centuries, it would be totally reasonable to assume that whoever was trapped there had died, or that the prison was designed for people like Ganondorf that couldn't be killed conventionally. Either way, Shade made the right call at the time, but the Sages were the ones who ultimately made the decision to use the Mirror of Twilight when Ganondorf couldn't be killed.

oh i doubt her anger is directed at the act of using the mirror for its purpose. its more she now has someone to blame directly for zant gaining power........ wich is still the wrong person as it was the sages that decided to put ganon in there. at least in the orginal lore, this alternative could put the blame solely on shade since he mentioned the lack of the master sword.
@Brutalyte6169 күн бұрын
@@megasora4 Well no. That part IS canon to Twilight Princess since this is basically after OoT Link went back in time and helped foil Ganondorf's rise to power. It's still years later, which begs the question as to why all the Sages are old men and not the OoT Sages, but I'd chalk that up to these being the 'original' Sages of OoT. As for the Master Sword? Link going after it is part of what doomed Hyrule as opening the seal gave Ganondorf access to the Triforce of Power and put Link in a coma for 7 years, so instead of taking a chance, he forced Ganondorf to try and overthrow Hyrule with his own power by not only not going after the Master Sword, but also breaking the keys you need to get to it. Then, by some twisted act of divine providence, Ganondorf got the Triforce of Power anyways and used it to survive his execution at the hands of the Sages, thus leading to him being sealed in the Mirror of Twilight.

Furthermore, Time Link isn't "just another Hero," he is and was *The Hero of Time.* That is not insignificant nor was the burden foisted upon him. Yeah, Time was right on the money over what he said, despite whatever he does no matter if he succeeds or fails, the essence of Ganondorf always remains, and it actually causes the split in the timeline according to Hyrule historia, so that is why Time is the Link with the most hardship, especially if you even consider his background, since he became an orphan because of the war, lived his childhood with the Kokiri where he wasn't really 100% accepted, and then without having even grown up had to take up the mantle of the hero, in order to try and stop Ganondorf and as a result of being too young he had been sealed in the Sacred Realm, where he lost many years of his life until he was finally deemed as worthy, then had to fight Ganondorf and his minions as they had taken over Hyrule, only for then not even be able to reap in the rewards of his victory after so much struggle, as freaking Zelda sent him back to the past without even consulting him on the idea, where after he stopped Ganondorf from usurping the Hyrule royalty by telling them of the betrayal, he had to go on a journey to find Navi again after she left him for some unknown reason, and then live within the 3 day cycles of the whole Majoras Mask fiasco, where no matter who he saved or what he did, he would not be able to reap the rewards from it, since even after he stopped Majora and the 3 day cycle stopped, nothing that he did or struggled with had been witnessed by anyone else, except for maybe Tattle the fairy but she immediately went to the Skull kid's side and her brother as that is what the final scene of the game shows, so its very likely that Link ended up alone and full of regret, as he never got hailed to be a hero despite everything he did, and that's just extremely sad, considering that all the other Links got their chance to reap from the benefits of having saved the world and being recognized for it, so its no wonder that Time ended up as the Hero's shade, and its rude of Midna to take her frustrations out on him, since most likely Time faced much more hardships than her who was basically the Royalty of the Twilight Realm.

@julesop386610 күн бұрын
Must have something to do with Link from OoT being sent to the past, while he was wielding the Triforce of Courage in the Adult Timeline. Since Shade was chosen to be it's wielder, the Triforce decided to split and go to their chosen wielders from the Adult Timeline in the Child Timeline (because that divine wishing-device thought it would be mad funny I guess). That's the only reason I could think of. Ganondorf has the Triforce of Power in the other timeline, so the Triforce of Power went to him in this timeline. It was activated(?) when Ganondorf got stabbed at the Arbiter's Grounds, just so it's wielder would live (Until he got stabbed by the Master Sword).

I believe he meant innocent people, families, communities, etc. when he said "people" (he is not good at talking). His first impression based on those ancient texts was probably the worst people and monsters that could not or shouldn't be killed were locked up till who knows when, except known to the Goddesses and maybe their agents (they had a hand in the creation of the Twilight Realm as a means of banishment according to the lore). Not actual civilized or societal people who have homes and made a civilization. It may be similar to what I heard about Australia's origins. It was a place meant for criminals, but over time, those criminals laid the foundation for a civilization. It no longer BECAME a prison but a HOME for the descendants of the criminals with the criminal origins fading from history. That's probably not a common scenario that can happen in most people's minds, so that's not a predictable event unless perchance to historians. The people who made the historical text probably did not predict that the original prisoners of the Twilight world would adapt and create a society in Twilight or that afterward, the denizens in the light realm (the sages who guard the twilight mirror specifically) would add another prisoner to the Twilight world while relying on old outdated information that the other world was JUST a prison created by the goddesses and their agents for the evilest of beings.

But Twilight DID time travel! To the exact place- er, *time* that Shade left the Master Sword.

Ovegacart may have a thing for Telma, but true men of culture go for Goth Girl Agitha.

Well he hasn't tried beating Ganon at his own game yet say putting on the fierce deity mask with majoras mask at the same time to go full overkill dark forbidden magik of old to wreck his day / pretty sure the time travel was the temple and the sage fault using the master sword for magical shenanigans cause he thought link was to short to use the sword also the sage who did it is dead and the temple is definitely ruined so good luck recreating that and before anyone says ocarina of time the song only went back 3 days

In Ocarina of Time its literally the main theme. It is kinda touched on that the sword has time-related powers in Skyward Sword too, but its mostly on Ocarina

One thing that Midna would eventually realize is the fact that the Twili were sealed in a place far from civilization. No one, not even Shade would know since any information about the Twili when they were known as the Dark Interlopers has since been either been a need-to-know basis for only the royal family and high ranked individuals or were lost to history, leaving only the Mirror of Twilight. Shade found the mirror and reported it to the Hyrule Kingdom and the Royal Family, and that was it. The Sages were the ones who made the decision to use it. Midna's behavior is still not without flaws, she jumped at Shade blaming him for something that was beyond his control. So how can he be expected to realize what the Mirror really was, when he lacked information about the true story behind the mirror? Midna has picked such a time to project at Shade when he wasn't the one making the decisions. He wanted to make sure Ganondorf stayed down for good, but the Triforce of Power made sure that didn't happen since after Ganondorf touched it, he didn't get full access to the Triforce as his heart wasn't pure during Ocarina of Time events. Ganondorf after Shade returned to his own time didn't have the Triforce, he was still in the middle of planning, but it was still on its way since Time Traveling was a challenging endeavor with consequences after the Sacred Realm was breached as soon as Shade pulled the Master Sword. Shade was focused on trying to deal with Ganondorf, and the events with the Twili were still shrouded in mystery to him. For all he knew, he found the Mirror and a sign that said a prison and told the Kingdom about it. The ones who Shade reported to were the ones who made the decision based on Shade's account of the discovery of the Mirror.
