Rough Title. I wouldn't have called any of these a Disaster. Help not hurt HeroScape minset bro they need money to continue dont scare people away. like this I think the Official walls are cool, expand with these awesome alternate walls too. It only takes literal seconds to shave a sliver off the inner edge bumps off a jungle piece to fit better, simple easy to fix and more even better terrain coming soon. I vern like the crisp edge on the large ground pieces personally, i think they add a little bit of variety poking through here and there across the battlefield from under the rougher hills of terrain piled on top.

That's the issue though, isn't it? Why should we, as consumers, pay a premium price for sub-premium product? The quality control at renegade has been nothing short of trash, and the jungle pieces not fitting is just one of many of their countless mistakes. 24-hexes that create stress fracturing, poorly designed AoA walls, minis that warp in low heat, error-ridden booklets and scenarios, and several other fiascos we know of that went on behind the scenes. I shouldn't have to destroy my premium product to make it work, it's unacceptable. To say we shouldn't be scaring people away downplays a lot of real issues that shouldn't be ignored. We as Heroscape fans deserve better, and we shouldn't be afraid to push Renegade to do better.

@@scaperstory well there's the issue isn't it. The items you listed are true, but not for everyone it seems, so idk the current percentages but its seemed like a lot more before. Vocal minority vs silent less caring majority averages aside. So maybe they are fixing the issues idk. When it comes to identifying issues there are more helpful and in my mind more appropriate ways of going about it that many have done. Seems like an increasing amount of heroscaper youtubers appearing lately that I'm starting to prefer more, who talked about issues but didn't attack so blatantly. It seems like most heroscapers in general look at the obvious fact that the HeroScape department at renegade is known to be small, with a large project. So, it is unfortunate that there have been issues, and that it messes with the notions that some people have in their heads on whether or not AoA was ever advertised as a premium product. But frankly, maybe it's a negative pessimists vs those who look at the silver linings and both feel like they see things a little more clearly. But seems like most Heroscapers are happy that Heroscape is returning! And want to support and not scare others away making bigger deals out of some of the issues than what they need to be and others with simple fixes. So that Heroscape can continue on with more stuff and hopefully cheaper and less buggy over time, as struggling for success things often do. HS could easily live on or die for everyone. It just strikes me the same as those "fans" who bombard the internet with 1 line ruining the whole movie for them so there abandoning a series or nerfs/bufffs ruined the video game series done with it forever type of kinda complainer baby level stuff. That often brings down and destroys series, franchises, and projects like this forever. Idk man maybe i just feel like the issues i had in my wave 1 were insignificant, because nothing in life is perfect, things could always be way worse, people out there who are so horribly disfigured that they can't even play heroscape, or enjoy things in life, so for those of us who can, we should. But the Joe crazy having a decently gentle stance in video but clickbaiting it with HS Disaster! Kinda coming across as disingenuous, self-interested, for the clicks, risk some potential happiness of thousands maybe millions of nerds and dorks like us down the road.

The price tag is already going to scare people away. If there is problems with the merchandise at such a high price, don't you think people are going to turn away anyways? (If not making it worse) I actually like the details of the melted sides. I kinda hope they keep it. We are in a world where we have dragons and other explosives going off melting crap. I personally don't see an issue with most of this. But the price tag... I expect a lot better.

@@iceman3317 well ya that kinda goes along with my points. Im sure many who felt it kinda pricey apparently now have decent reason to wait even longer. But along with what you were saying about melted sides? i dont find some things to be a big deal either. shave this factory issue bump here, heat that base there, boom fixed. many opted to paint themselves anyway which is 99.9% more tweaking by comparison. I just think if those who want to be pro HS influencers didn't use damning clickbait it would help bring more hesitant in than push away. Perfect ideal world vs end of the world attitudes aside, initial start up bugs happen all the time with new things.

I had never heard of the Belgor walls before this video and i gotta say, i really love the weight and the feel of the Laur walls. They have a great, solid presence on the map. Being able to stack them would be cool, but I'm happy with them as is. I just wish the master set came with more! Only one of the longer walls sucks.

I think i prefer the new 24 hexes because well it is a game and having the largest pieces that are typical used as a base adds legability for counting spaces across the board and further sets a demarcation of legal positioning within the hex. Also some minor thoughts on the walls. I assume the change between the versions is because injection molding with hard ABS plastic goes better with chonkier and simple pieces. Defintely could have had them stackable, but that adds to piece complexity adding to cost and a hugher defect rate.

I think the old jungle looks better, but the new jungle has better utility, so it is just a tradeoff ignoring the build issues with the new one. But yeah the Belgor walls are just plain better.

The Belgor walls are hands down the winner. There's an old joke about restaurants; I remember hearing a lot more of a kid. " The food was terrible, and not enough of it." I certainly feel that way about Renegade's walls. For all the reasons you mentioned Joe. Although that doggie door effect burns me up enough to throw the pieces across the room.
