Hey! Pikmin seems like an innocent enough spinoff game, but there's one problem with it that has people torn. What exactly IS the planet from the game?

Arzest has a habit of pulling plot threads with HUGE implications out of their rear ends, without answering any of the inevitable questions they raise. Like in Yoshi's New Island, where future Bowser randomly travels through time, coming out of nowhere to fight you from the future... for no established reason, with no explanation, and for some reason future Mario is implied to have done the same, for some reason. They don't even make an attempt to explain any of this or tie it into the lore. So I doubt the writers of the game gave a damn to make any of this make sense.

Actually if you pay attention to certain details through out the game I think hey pikmin was a daydream of Olimar while on the job it starts and ends with a very similar cutscenes with very similar wording and they even said he was thinking about his adventures with the pikmin. Even then some things are too different like the Bulborbs aren't nocturnal and that's why everything is so weird

The best thing that I could come up with is that the plasm wraith is actually some sort of cosmic threat that can create illusionary planets and that the final boss of hey pikmin was connected to it. Sounds kinda crazy when I write it out.

The Plasm Wraith is so crazy that this idea could be correct! There's still so much we don't know about it...

I really enjoyed this vid, I also do agree on the the Hey Pikmin planet just being PNF-404, also, I just want to point out that in (at least the Wii U version) of Pikmin 3, there's a piece of art hidden somewhere in each of the areas depicting each pikmin type (ex: Red Pikmin art in the Tropical Wilds), much like the art you found there, I would really like to know who drew them, I mean much like you said, only humans could drow something like that, so before the humens died out were their possibly Pikmin on the planet (I discovered the existence of the Pikmin 3 hidden art somewhere online)

actually i think it's PNF-404 but also again in a different timespot like from the timeshifting video, i probably would guess that during Hey!Pikmin, Pangea Ultimate is just being created as it's not existent yet but not that much like in Pikmin 1 and 2, it would be the previous state of the planet before Pikmin 3,that's why Pangea Ultimate doesnt fully exist yet but has some similarities

@@VGTI Fair enough, could always be a project for when you retire. XD. In a hypothetical universe, which game would you choose to do of the series? Pikmin 3 is my personal favourite. The only thing I want to see in future is more pikmin species, my favourite colour orange hasn't had any rep yet.

If I only had to pick one, I'd probably do the first game. Though 3 is a very close second for me. And yeah, here's hoping we get more new Pikmin someday... please, Nintendo!
