Very pretty!!! Also… There is some debate about whether it is safe to wear gloves while turning wood. Gloves are considered “loose clothing” and are generally unsafe around rotating machinery, including a lathe. There are spectacular accidents posted online… fingerless gloves are probably ok… please be careful!

Thank you, I agree I wouldn’t recommend anyone wearing gloves on the lathe but it’s what I prefer, I have found that wearing gloves helps me concentrate and focus on my work as having bark and chips hitting my hands can be quite distracting!

@@_Shopfix that makes sense. I think we all have preferences like that and have thought through the risks and are extra careful while we do it. I don’t know how many people actually operate a table saw with the blade guard in place… they are a nuisance and seldom work right. I confess I never use mine… But it is important to be vigilant thanks for posting some beautiful work!
