Awesome 🙏🕉️ I'm from Assam, and we know about the resistance, defeat of the Mughals at the hands of AHOMS army 17 times.This has been supported by evidence in Govt.of Assam museum and by the British museum. These facts are not know by the world at large.They celebrate the barbarian Mughals as a great ruler, but history tell about them otherwise.These facts never came to light. THANKs to you efforts ,we could know more about our rice culture and about religious scriptures and the hidden gems that our ancestors left to be benefited.

I am from Assam, my mum would tell us stories of Lachit Borphukan even before we joined school, as a toddler I was under the impression that he was a God since my mum would tell us stories from Puranas & Itihasas too. Thanks for highlighting stories from NE. Please also make content on how casteism is more prominent in rest of India which were occupied by Mughals & British for long periods. In fact I was in shock when I first interacted with people from Bihar & North in college who discussed their & others caste. Same when I was in South for job, there too people talk of their caste. I feel imperialism had a major role to play in converting Varna to the caste system & make it all about ones birth. There were bhakti movements by likes of Sankardev, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in NE & East which eradicated any form of remnants of casteism amongst its practitioners. But bhakti movements throughout rest of India failed to do so.

Histories have always been written by and from the point of view of the victorious. It takes a lot of genuine research and wisdom to understand true history. Much of the Indian History has been written by the Westerners and later by western educated Indians. Hope the revival of the Nalanda University by the present Govt will contribute to the unveiling of the true history of India.

Dear Project Shivoham, can you please make a video on the least to most authentic publishers for our Itihasas, Puranas, Vedas & Upanishads, Agamas, Bhagavad Gita, Siddhantas and so on? Like, which publisher(s) give out the most accurate sanskrit text and most accurate translations. Many publishers tend to not be so accurate in either sanskrit verses nor their translations. Gautama is NOT the Buddha or Bodhisatva referred to as the 9th Avatar of Vishnu. Gautama was born in Lumbini in the Himalayan foothills... The Vishnu Avatar Buddha or Bodhisatva was born to the east in Mithila (Nepal/Bihar perhaps around Janakpur)... The Vishnu avatar Buddha is said to be born in a Brahmin kula... Gautama Buddha was ofc as you know a Prince... Still a very precious little is known about this person or avatar... Historical accounts, hagiographies or Ithihasic references do not exist... Interestingly enough, some traditions in the South consider Balarama instead of Buddha in the Vishnu Dashavatar.

so the word "kanai" is a cute affectionate name the locals of Assam use to call Lord Krishna, "boroxi boa" means using fishing rod to catch fish. it is believed that after the events of "Rukmini haran" . on the way back to dwarika, Lord krishna's horses fell tired in the northern part of Pragjyotishpur ( present Guwahati ). so he let them rest and to pass time, sat on a rock and started fishing. That's the "kanai boroxi boa xil" ( the rock where lord krishna did fishing ). The place where the horses stood still, there's a 329 years temple called "Ashwaklanta Devalaya" (tired horses).

There are many who try to equate the two and provide arguments that conquest and destruction is the very nature of humans and hence the conquest and destruction of the western barbarians is acceptable. It is natural. Political conquests largely does not harm common civilians and destroy places of workship and education etc. barring some collateral damage in certain cases. A close friend (Tamilian) forcefully equated the Shaiva-Vaihnava fights and the conquest of Odisha king Kapilendra into far south same as that of the muslim conquests and destruction. He is also of the opinion that Temples in India were like forts and hence their destruction by muslim invaders was legit.
