Another good one. I've been detailing for nearly 40 years and a side hustle business owner for 3 years. I always watch tube vids . Not for products as much , seems a few have become commercials , but for tips and tricks others use that I may try in my own situation . Once you stop doing that it becomes harder and harder to get out of your own way . Keep up the videos .

My simple take on Detailing is developing a skill and using common sense that involves a lot of patience which becomes your strong point. The pros and cons on any skill is developing habits, With that said if you wanna learn detailing and ur new to it, id start with finding the right person that has the skill set u wish to have, i'd go for that person and study with him or learn from him. The problem is not developing good habits but taking in bad habits because their hard to break as they say which in the social media world with information being blown out everywhere, developing bad habits or having misconception is common. Cost aside which i think is dependent on a persons mindset on how he perceives something that involves paying for something. But if u boil everything down about Detailing as a skill set and knowledge u have to ask yourself this, how much is your time worth? If you think u need to learn it as you go and have time for trial and error then i wouldn't pay for a detailing class. But if you want to learn and really be good at it and have a specific set of goal? I'd pick your top 3 detailing class and go ham and learn as much as you can.

Once you become unteachable you are dead in the water. I currently work in the biotech industry. I’m a warehouse lead and work with someone that has been there for 37 years. I’ve only been there for 2. They are definitely stuck in their way. I showed him a faster more efficient way to get a certain job done. He was not having it. The response was, “THIS IS THE WAY IVE ALWAYS DONE IT.” At that point I was like, okay. Boss, been loving these podcasts. Keep up the great work! Sending you my positive vibes from Escondido CA!

At the same time, that person has been doing it for 37 years and has seen it all. Only 2 years in, you don't know what you don't know. Old timers hate having some new guy come in and give their unsolicited opinions. If you truly want someone to copy your way of doing something, just continue doing what you're doing. They will see you doing it and will adopt new concepts if they feel they are better for them to use.

Yes, KZbin videos are a huge help on so many topics but the viewer does lack the full experience. Training like the Autogeek classes were great to share with other students plus trying all brands and types of products and machines. If you are not learning or sharing then life just gets dull!

a good class will cut down the learning curve, I do want to go to a Rupes class. Find a body shop that will allow me to learn to sand and wet sand. I want to eventually build a show and go truck.

Are still a fan of Sundays Best? I have been using their spray graphene since you reviewed it a couple years ago. Don't hear anything about them form you anymore or from any other detail reviews.

Yup still a fan. They’ve kinda been having a hard time getting off the ground.

As a seasoned detailer with a well established clientele(suppose you make decent money) why not I agree with you 100% but somebody starting out gasping for money is very hard to pay 4,000 plus dollars my friend and maybe is not lot of money for you…for mi is and it’s going to be no matter what specially with the inflation of today just to gather the basic necessary tools for the job cost me hundreds man,I’ve learned what I know from?..you guess it KZbin and I do a decent job, that a training is going to be good and I will learn plenty? Yes sure but why not 2,000 why had to be over four grants? You price your 💩 the way you want don’t get me wrong but that’s why we are in this situation.
