Sucks because Steph tried to be a good friend and teammate to Klay, the Warriors tried to do right by him by signing him to a max right after he tore his ACL, they let him work his way back into the rotation, tried to give him the touches to get his rhythm back, but Klay just couldn't perform the way he used to, and he decided to blame everybody around him instead of being real with himself. It's a shame. Those injuries changed him as a person.
@NBASFANАй бұрын
Nah, if you was with those curry dickriding toxic fan base 24/7 talking sh about you not making back to the lineup, or how you was injured and washed. You would feel the exact same way. People dickride Steph so much and give 0 respect to Klay for being there for being one of the best perimeter defenders and top 3pt shooters out there. The max contract SHOULD be his with or without the injuries. You know how much paycut Klay took after the first chip??? Just to keep the old vets together or when they get KD? Or give Green a bigger contract? Come on, stop glorifying them and pay your respects to Klay. He came back from an ACL and got another chip for Steph. Have Steph ever won a chip without Klay performing well? Nope. Let's see who wins it this season then
@RT-qz5ciАй бұрын
Thats my take as well. Klay took it out on everyone else when what happened to him was not their fault.
@Pun116Ай бұрын
@@NBASFAN Nah. Everything you wrote just telegraphs who you really are: a Warriors hater. Clear as day. The organization maxed Klay AFTER tearing his ACL. Klay's on record with full gratitude towards the organization. And, that's a fact. Don't be fictionalizing a made-up story about a toxic fanbase. When Klay was depressed and started streaming from his boat, he got all love and support from real Warrior's fans day-in and day-out. Don't confuse media, like Charles Barkley, with the Warrior's fanbase, punk. Klay has always had an ego-issue. Curry mentions it in a podcast with JJ about when KD joined the Warriors, Klay wouldn't sacrifice for the team. Klay still hasn't gotten over his injuries, mentally. He couldn't realize that he couldn't keep up with the Warrior's system and wouldn't come off the bench because of his ego. Original comment is spot on. Klay started blaming everything else around him and couldn't face his premature fall from his prime. If any fans DID turn against him, it would be during this decent, which, quite frankly, was extremely ugly and unbecoming of Klay Thompson.
@chrisdoem4107Ай бұрын
Couldn’t agree with you more, the warriors paid him a full max contract even though they knew he would be out for at least a year and then he got injured again and was out for another year, they didn’t blink!…. At some point a little bit of gratitude should be in place and to be honest, the warriors offered him a deal. At this point in Klays career it’s what he is worth, he is definitely not more important than Steph and Dray so he would have to settle for less and refused. I am disappointed that’s how it ended however, I don’t think Klay has much left in the Tank, he is not the defender he used to be and can shoot that’s about it.

Curry is the ONE main guy that GSW needs to take care of and not klay.. klay always in his feelings always angry always needs to be the guy but if he only accept a lesser role he would still be happily playing with the GSW rather than him being a bench player in dallas and rot there unti he retires.. the main thing here is if klay continues with this attitude then NO team would retire his jersey..

@Nikola_BotevАй бұрын
This is exactly the vibe that I am getting, Klay was a great player for GSW, but after the injurie I can see more and more he was in his own head and the chemistry last year was total mess, probably because of that, the last game he had also did not helped him a single bit, I had the felling he need to be the main character so to speak, and I don't think in Dallas he will have that opportunity with Luka and Kyrie, but the at least is some form of control. I believe he can be much better if he let this expectations go, and just play with clear mind, but this is hard to do.
@billzerkeleyАй бұрын
Nah, Pippen was a far superior player than Klank ever was. I would argue that Pippen was just as important, if not MORE IMPORTANT, as MJ was in their dynasty. Pippen almost carried the Bulls to the Championship game after MJ left.
