Correct. Tilt is an essential element to creating arm speed when we talk about chaining. Lead leg block is another key element to creating force behind your pitch. Thanks for sharing.

If your inside 90 it's better because your flexed and your triceps are more involved with the delivery. The more muscles involved the better and using your triceps when your arm is flexed is just another key to a good/healthy delivery.

Great video, a lot of good information! Important point regarding trunk orientation and the inverted W.

I watched this video countless of times now that i really listened i have learned. Was contemplating on changing arm angle until you said trunk tilt and it makes sense

Hey coach, I’ve been looking at my pitching delivery and I’ve seen that from my knowledge that I am an early trunk rotator. What can I do to fix this and is it possible for you to take a look at my mechanics

You should show us to throw a curve going 6 to 12 instead of 12 to 6

I don't think they teach softball risers? Lol that was a joke right? Because that would be an under arm throw. But I guess maybe you could do it? It seams like it would be a weak pitch though? Unless you did it just like a softball pitcher. Funny 😃
@ck2t5285 жыл бұрын
Now if your talking just the ball movement and not the arm? (But that's not how it is referred.) Then it would just be a over hand fastball. A fast pitch, with a high spin rate. Then the ball can rise up. (Going from 6 to 12)😉

Great video coach John. Any chance you will get back into giving lessons in Orlando? If not, any local coach you recommend? Tired of dealing with guys that don’t know what they’re talking about!

I guess there’s no such thing as a high velo arm action. For example jordan hicks throws 102-103 with a shorter arm action, and Ryan Helsley throws 103 with a longer arm action. It’s just whatever works for that pitcher

Centrifugal force isn't a real force, but that's ok. I love the dianabol meat head acting like he knows something about pitching.
