SSJ4 in Budokai 3 can do a whole bar of health with 10x Kamehameha. What I usually do is, I have Breakthrough for Goku, I Hyper Mode, 10x Kamehameha into a Dragon Rush w/ Warp Kamehameha. It does a shit ton of damage lol like 5000 or something.

No one seems to realize this, but if you go into training and check the damage on your Ki moves with breakthrough, every skill is effectively set twice. Making it way better than trying to use support caps.

If you need some tips on Z3 difficulty, you can check some of my records, I hold the record for Z3 breaktrough goku, and Z3 no capsules. There is also a requirement that the first raditz fight must be at level 0.

I remember beating very hard, only to unlock Z, beating Z and unlocking Z2, beating Z2 only to yet again unlock Z3 and i was like "hell nah bro the difficulty never stops going up???". Btw at 16:08 i'm pretty confident that most of the time during dragon rush, if you press it before the CPU they will just read it and defend. At least i do remember having a higher sucess rate if i waited for them to press first, don't take my word for it though i'm not an expert, just someone who loves this game and used to play it everyday. Nice video though, gonna subscribe.

Because the graphics did try to be accurate to the manga, so despite being a 3D fighter, the cell-shading and lighting did replicate the original artstyle and as such it looks just like the show. The problem with newer games is that you can't just improve the textures or the lighting, because then it just doesnt look like the show anymore. The worst case of this was Jump Force, where they tried to give Goku realistic textures in his gi but also a cartoon face. It doesnt work.

I know the breakthrough capsule covers a characters full moveset, but there were like 2-3 capsules i preferred using that made the fighting aspect like combos, dodging, and teleporting. Can’t remember the specific names but one for sure I believe cut the ki cost of teleporting and dodging in half, which makes things quite fun.,

I had got this game on Christmas Day in 03’…I was 10 yrs old then😂I never knew about no “cancel combos” nor did I understand/care just how effective those green capsules actually were until decades later…I actually got to lvl Z3 back then and when I tell you my only hope was spamming Hyper mode and wishing for the best🤕

one of speedrun category on this z3 difficulty is to start it with character level 0 stat and only breakthrough... I was happy to see cancels on a player that have a big community... when i roam on twitch yt always player with the biggest community are very bad at this game. Gg to achieve the Z3 ! I never got through the fight with Gotenks in the world tournament, because of the infinite ki he kept teleporting and getting the ghost attack, dragon rush or ring out... After 1 hour I just gave up 😂 ... Still remember the rage I felt to this day🤯

First time I attempted Z3 i got my shit slammed constantly. Barely stood a chance against Freeza, got cooked by Cell, got turned inside out by Broly, then Gotenks spammed the shit outta dragon rush. Got obliterated by Super Buu as Tien for 3 hrs straight.

Vegito's (and I'm pretty sure Gogeta as well) combos are dependent on what character you fused as. If you fuse as Goku, he'll have Goku's combos and vice versa

Turtle Shell is a great capsule against hard AI. It limits all the teleporting so you can execute your combos with impunity. You can also take a character w/o transformations (like Gt. Saiyaman or Yamcha) and equip Yakon. It punishes transformations and hyper mode. These two capsules are very anti-meta, great against high ki characters like Buu or Shenron.
