Dante being hard to learn is very "DMC" of them. I remember in DMC 1, they really liked hitting the player with intense challenges and boss mechanics. Its my favorite part of the series, the challenges they put you in to learn and adapt.

I would point out that Vergil is basically the game's easy mode because he's so overpowered. But... I'm not one to talk because the only way I beat Bloody Palace in DMC4 was with him. And that shit took me so many attempts. By the time I got to the final level I was just spamming over and over-- while still nearly giving myself a heart attack.

If you pressed guard and down, down, you could taunt and it takes away a ki bar from the enemy. Really good if they are all powered up

When I first played dmc4 I also barely used exhaust. Now I can't look at other people play if they're not using exhaust, it adds so much to nero and it's super fun

Going through them right now and my god is it agitating. You'd think that "Climax Battles" would be these epic fights where you'll have to make the most of every part of your moveset to win, but instead they take pretty much everything away from you and just add time limits to most of the missions than create any sort of real challenge. The only good one so far has been the final majima gauntlet.

It's always bugged me how many weapons there are and how deep the craft system got for weapons that break in one fight

I kinda like the feature where there are different type of dragons one which is more technical or more heat based as it really makes you adapt how you play especially when using each different type of dragon

For me it was kinda the opposite, Nero was really annoying to use and my first and only death (excluding the beginning boss) was the first boss of the game, mission 2 if I remember correctly. After that I flew threw everything and beat Vergil first try

I finally tackled these yesterday, and they are pretty frustrating. Specifically the Majima ones. The worst ones were Proving Grounds 8, Melee 2, Melee 5, and Millionaire 2. The melee ones were just barely enough to time for a really good run, the proving grounds run is just awful all around, and the millionaire battle is like an easy dark souls boss fight. I honestly had an easier time with sera than these fights.

Pick Zangief, you MUST hit the opponent with a sweep then before the get-up animation, jump then press down+fierce punch to do a body press then the AI will always crouch sweep on the get-up then do the sweep when the body press landed. Next, profit.
