I will try to be short:Better pitches-trackies,padded sleeves went in history...Comfort is the answer too... Gloves are much better today then just five years ago... Materials,cuts,grip,comfort are much much better then ever before...

This is my favourite podcast. I don’t care how big time a player is rob elliot has done one of the best podcast I’ve ever listened too. One of the best down to earth guys I’ve ever listened to and as a keeper who lives in a council house and stuff it’s nice to know the reason why one glove are so cheap yet so good. He is a top guy and I’ve honestly developed so much respect for the guy since this 👍

What a great guy. Really enjoyed the Podcast (fozcast). Love listening to the GK’s like Aaron Ramsdale the other week. I was a GK, I was always not tall enough but had to go in goals at under 14’s as our keeper got sent off. From then I was hooked. My idol was Les Sealey, proper keeper he was. I played local football till about 38, but when I played I just loved having shots at me, when opposing teams were attacking I hoped they would get through and have a shot 😂, I did encourage my defenders to close and no shot or crosses but in my head at the time wanted them to let them have a shot. Please get Big Nev Southall on the fozcast he’s an absolute Legend 💙

Great episode again. Interesting the bit about how family feel if a player is abused. Just imagine being the parent of a young referee progressing through the ranks. Only last season I’ve seen the Mum of a female referee in tears because of constant abuse from a manager (discriminatory) and I have left early twice, once when he made a mistake, the other due to abhorrent name calling. About time you had someone from the refereeing world on to explain as such amongst other things.
