That’s a great question! Previously I’ve always paid a hosting fee for anything like this we’ve done together and I’ve never made any revenue at all from a podcast so this is new. Initially I considered doing a week on each (which we still could in time) but since I’ve always edited and paid the software fees, I’m going to post it on my channel and we will do bonus episodes on Emma’s channel and see how we get on. Obviously if it becomes hugely popular that’s a different story but Emma and I understand the back end in terms of money (of which there could be very little 😂) and it’s a bit like a marriage.. you know the other person isn’t going to see you without if there’s something to be shared We’ve been doing this so long and so much content we create makes us absolutely no money. From the outside it may seem like a cash cow but I assure you, we’re doing this for fun 😂

You and Chris will love cruises.., I did my first one last year and got a two week Mediterranean cruise in November. They are absolutely brilliant. Once you're on the ship I don't actually remember I'm in the middle of the sea. It's like a little holiday community having a great time. They are addictive xx It's also getting a younger passenger demographic too. Unless it's a world cruise which is more retired people.

Mikhila, since you're only going for 4 days, how about getting some travel bottles and decanting your skincare and toiletries, would save a lot of space and weight. The way you work out your holiday wardrobe is genius.

Mikihla good for you going to Hong Kong. I have been & stayed on HK island - loved it. Travelled to the mainland - Kowloon on The Star Ferry. Go on the trams - go down to HK Bay at night. How exciting for you.

Loved this, watched whilst having an "everything shower"! Really fancy a cruise but husband thinks we will get stuck with people who want to talk to us each day 😂😂 the build up to a holiday is similar to Christmas Eve being better than Christmas Day (yes I said it)

Love the non-podcast podcast - will defo tune in weekly. Holiday wise, I love Asia (Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia and especially Bali were mind-blowingly beautiful and nothing beats experiencing other cultures. Not been to HK, but heard great things - it will be worth the trip for sure.

Just catching up on this. Cant wait to listen to the second one too! I think your trip to Hong Kong will be amazing. I love a solo trip. I think our flights to Australia with Emerits were around £600/700 so I feel that is fair. But I went in 2018 and things are a lot more expensive now ❤

Loved this, will definitely tune in each week. So nice to see you chatting away together, I felt like I needed a cup of tea and a biscuit. I would like to go on a cruise as it's so much easier than travelling by yourself, no unpacking, meals all organised etc, however husband would jump overboard from boredom, he's just not the cruising type. I do love travelling in Europe, especially visiting my lovely relatives. Mikhila you should watch Expats before you go to HK, try to ignore Nicole Kidmans' face though.

I love cruising too and not long turned 40 too. I like them much for the same reasons Emma has said too 🤣🤣 Beware of the 2 night “taster” cruise though. They are generally booze cruises and can get very… umm… rowdy!

For the cruise you can’t have surge protected extension leads but think you’re ok for hairtools etc but check your voltages etc

Hong Kong is great. We stayed with family for a few weeks. We didn't factor in jet lag with us being there a while but definitely try and adjust to your new time zone prior to going so you can get the most out of your stay. I honestly spent the first day in bed. The kids on the other hand didn't feel the time difference at all. Nothing like when we went to Vegas, we didn't have any jet lag there until we got home. I think it depends whether the place is ahead or behind us in time... I loved the tram and a boat ride across to HK island, but mainly I enjoyed being somewhere so different. Freaked a bit when my chicken noodles contained an actual chicken foot! Practice your chopsticks if you can't use them. I was very much laughed at for needing a fork - in a small eatery. I still can't use them now.

That’s gonna be hard cause I’m working the day before I go and the day after I come home 😂 but I think I can sleep on the plane both ways and sort myself out well enough

This was great! Cruising is top notch … one of the best ones was crossing the Atlantic. Captain told us that the nearest land was beneath us 😂😂😂 The thing about only unpacking once and going to different places is ‘it’ - love it! I have a friend who is now a US citizen, when she and her husband came back to the UK they stopped her hubby at US immigration as his passport flagged as a major felon 😂😂 (same name and similar look) - took them years and years to get it sorted, he was stopped every year 😂 Finally, Virgin vs BA - BA every time. I have a personal issue with Branson that goes back to the 1990’s as well as his tax dodging 🤷🏻‍♀️ (so will never do a Virgin cruise 🚢) I hold a grudge 😂😂

I see your “pocket knife” and I’ll raise you “inadvertently trying to bring a pair of scissors onto the Statue of Liberty ferry!”🤦🏼‍♀️ Lots of walking + blisters + only being able to lay my hands on rolls of plaster = me getting dragged aside by security in front of EVERYONE queuing to get on…MORTIFIED doesn’t even begin to cover it! What’s worse is, I had complete blocked out said scissors and so had NO idea why they were picking on me! 😂

With BA hand luggage you get a huge allowance over Emirates. I think theirs is 7kg and BA vs 23kg hand/backpack and 23kg suitcase

I think the thing with vegas is it is what you want it to be. It can be very upscale dining and entertainment, fancy shops and cocktails by the pool, It can be clubbing and day drinking, It can be gambling/gaming, It’s can be thrill seeking, rollercoasters and arcades for kids There’s some gorgeous natural attractions in the surrounding areas to visit There’s so much to do but people tend to see it as drinking and gambling

@@MissBudgetBeauty your reply has made me think tbh about its diversity but I still think I'm drawn more to rustic charm and the raw culture of places off the beaten track, drawn more to Italy, Greece than America. Each to their own, and simply my opinion. The consumerism and materialistic nature puts me off the most i think. Loving the podcast though-you and Emma are fab together! Xx
