Really nice footage! You got the best of weather - rain at first to fill the waterfalls, then beautiful sunny days over the pass. And talk about the green colors 🤩 - it truly looks saturated with color it's so unreal. I'm glad you had a great walk!

I just browsed about Milford sounds, watched your video and you just turned my eyes wide opened. I worked in Christchurch before and I never had a chance to see this beautiful hiking track.

Nicely done! The reality check about tired legs and tips about reducing weight of food to carry would come in handy one day.

Hi Page. I've watched a fair few vlogs of hiking the south and the scenery you show is the best I've seen yet. Also went into the comments section and am happy to find more valuable information. Thanks heaps for sharing!❤

Great video. I just walked the track and loved it all, we got last minute bookings cos of low numbers of international travellers. Hard for Kiwis to get places. I agree with having sore feet at the end of Mackinnon Pass descent and wishing Dumpling Hut were closer

Awesome video. The Milford Track is such a special place. I am lucky enough to have walked it 12 times whilst guiding for Ultimate Hikes. Managed to secure a spot for myself and two friends this November. I am really looking forward to getting back out there again.

Hi Paige. Wonderful video u presented. Lovely place I wish I hiked last time in Nz. If ur a hike-cholic for endless trail and (nope) sandfly free mountain trail, I recommend the mount Kinabalu hike, a well worn out and trudged trail here....no...no....nosticking pests here..

Thanks Jamini! Wow, that hike looks stunning😍 I would love to make it out to Malaysia one day!!

Hi Paige! We're from Spain and we're looking to get back to NZ and one of the reasons is this stunning track. Did you booked on your own or with ultimate hikes? I checked to book this year just for how it's works and in ten seconds was fully booked! Was crazy 😂 thanks for your video 😊

I 100% back this decision, the Milford Track was genuinely my #1 favorite thing I did my entire 4 months in New Zealand!! I booked on my own, because it’s significantly less expensive and it was nice to operate on my own time- I could leave my hut before the swarm of people on the ultimate guided hike set out and it made the experience a lot more serene and quiet! But yes, booking on your own is so hard, those slots do go SO quickly 😂 There isn’t a bad way to experience the track- it’s stunning however you do it, and I’m sure the guided hike is a lot more stress free and you won’t be roughing it as much. One major tip I have- keep checking that site to book on your own! I missed it too at first but checked every day and as the track gets closer people cancel. I just so happened to get a slot about 6 weeks in advance because of a cancellation and luck. Good luck and hope you have a great time!☺️

Well presented. I really like your commentry and advice, very insightful. I am planning to go in a couple of months but nervous about fitness and sore knees as a result of hiking.
@DareToElsewhere4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Sadia☺️ How exciting! The third day is really the only difficult day, I would just make sure to bring trekking poles for your knees cause it gets pretty steep on the way down from the pass🙂 I definitely didn’t exercise very much in the months leading up to my trek and it was a challenge for sure but doable and definitely worth it! Good luck and enjoy your trek!☺️

Hi, did you get a notification for the cancellation?? I want to book but there are no spaces! How did you pick up a space ?? Thanks x
@DareToElsewhere4 жыл бұрын
I didn’t find any way to set up notifications personally! Honestly I just was checking once or twice a day for a couple of months until one day a spot opened up 2-3 weeks before the trek date and I quickly booked it😬🤞 Good luck Annabelle, hope you get to go!
