Sherwin is such a straight up dude, I remember meeting him at the local Evo meets. Even at some other events we would bump into each other and chop it up a bit. As a former Final Edition owner these cars are very formitable. Mitsubishi made some adjustments to the motor but it made the car perform that much better. If I had held out a bit longer I probably would still have mine to this day but life can hit ya with some curveballs. Glad he was able to take it to the limit.

Lancer was always one of my favourite cars to drive in the Need for Speed games back in the day. It's sad that kids like Sherwin are punished for their parents' crimes. It is very unfair that you can be brought into a country by your parents when you are young and run into all these residency issues when it comes time to learn to drive and get a job. You don't have any agency in ending up in that situation.

Awesome race and politics in the car world. Thats what we were missing. I was literally born to the bottom of the barrel crack head mom. Missing alcoholic dad. Poor isn't even representing the situation. Horrible. Point is we all come from different situations lol. Why does that have a single thing to do with cars. It's good to know that drive has that agenda to divide a country. Dont br8ng that into the car world. Its a beautiful community void of outside manipulation. Lets keep it that way. Love the car. Love to see time attack style aero cars going more mainstream! Thats my jam. Also time attack drivers are a different breed. It's hard to go all out in one lap or one hill climb. I'm split on this to be honest. On one hand this dude is cool, and his story adds the vibe, like being a proof of concept to be followed by the young'uns. On the other it's too much politics as you say, victimization (like suicide is not a common enough problem that I'm sure touched some of The Drive tribe already), undermining what works and is one of the most lax laws already (citizenship process). So conscious thumbs up.

He also didn’t undermine immigration laws he was brought here as a kid. And he did what he had to do as an adult to get the right documentation, start working and build an awesome car.
