Gotta have good brakes to do that route. lol. The steep hills are INSANE! I can't believe how steep they are. It certainly makes collection a challenge in the area. Great video as always.

Wow this has got to be the highlight of the driver's day lol. 285 was doing greenwaste here? If that's the case I might want to come and see this hill for myself. I feel like the diesel full sizes and minis can handle these better, and that's one of the reasons I think we have to keep them. Lol it must take a lot of care to set these carts properly. 195 was dying on this hill lol. Great job on this one!

Quite an amazing video, I'm very impressed with how you were able to show the steepness of the hill. Going back to the mindset of old trucks being more powerful, I'm curious why LA doesn't run any of the Diesels on these hills? And going on that note, I'd love to see a CNG try out these hills lol I remember you saw one of the first ones in the hills but can't remember if it was this area or not. One of the WM drivers I know out here sometimes works in the hills of Arcadia, and he said his truck's temperature gauge is constantly hitting 200 or so when he's up there, and I doubt the steepness is anything close to this haha. Plus he said there's absolutely no power in the truck for climbing hills and he's constantly afraid the truck will overheat while climbing. Anyway, had to laugh when the swamper on the RL kind of had to catch his balance at 5:15, another thing that really showed the steepness. Fun video I must say, and definitely one of the craziest routes I've ever seen. Great job on the camera work, turned out awesome!

37285 was actually doing green waste here yesterday. Unfortunately of the two steep streets the automated trucks collect, I only saw her go up one that only had two carts out and then she went off in a different direction. I believe it's her normal route so I may have to go back again. I was stuck at the bottom of the hill when she went up but the truck had literally no hesitation unlike 195 here. That route must just be miserable to run for the rear load guys, I'd assume the weight limits on carts are strictly enforced for trash and green waste. Thanks, much appreciated!

Great video! Love these steep hills, brings back a lot of memories. 195 looked like it was struggling to go up. I like that Rehrig at 6:05. Do you know what kind of sticker was on the back of it? Really enjoyed this one!

the sticker says the same stuff that's on the backs of all the 90 blue ottos. Thanks!

Wow that's crazy. Must be a pain driving the newer trucks up these hills. Do any minis collect on these streets? I could tell the RL guy was having trouble but at least they were going down hill. Really interesting and great video!

there's one street that dead ends that baby trucks collect, truck 36172 is seen on it in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJWuoYuMlpdngtk

Why not instead of sending the full size 36195 Elliptical they send a couple of baby trucks? The mini Amrep ASL's might perform better than that full size truck.

The sizes of power lines because of the hill they could be lower in spots
@WasteManTony8 жыл бұрын
that's true since the baby trucks are smaller and therefore weigh less but the full size trucks still manage to pull themselves up the hill.

WasteManTony Unless the baby trucks have routes to cover. Nice video by the way.
