Methok is the genuine buddhist- full of compassion, empathy for one and all. He is an adorable guy. The game which Jamyang was playing with another gentleman is called 'chholo' in our valley and we all just love it, especially during the winters when the entire valley is covered under a thick blanket of snow and outdoor games cannot be played. What a kind man, donating to the elderly and animal shelter. I’ve never been to Kongpo . Definitely on my bucket list now . It looks so beautiful. Also, I don’t think Tibetan Buddhism has anything against homosexuality . In exile , we have openly trans and a few gay Tibetan men and they are accepted and aren’t treated any differently .

@Pine Joi Thank you for your contribution. You seem familiar with Buddhist scriptures, and l would like to ask you a question. I am confused about the meat eating of all kinds in Tibet, and other Buddhist societies. In South Korea where l learned first about Buddhism, and visited Temples, ate vegetarian Temple food, Buddhists there do not kill any animals, do not eat meat as a rule. So, my question, does any Buddhist community decides by themselves about this matter? Or is there any advise in the Buddhist scriptures about this eating topic? Here in Melboune we have also Taiwanese and other Temple foods, they are all vegetarian dishes with plant based meat. Please answer. I never had to asked this, because Korean monks did not eat meat, and also have vegetarian restaurants, so l assumed, Buddhists in general do not eat meat. I am vegetarian, but not a fanatic, l do not like killing animals, nor the taste of cooked meat, but it is very personal. Thank you. Greetings from ❤️🇦🇺
@capricornstar98033 жыл бұрын
@Pine Joi sounds like sex in general is not seen favorably but as a Tibetan Buddhist , I can say with surety that homophobia is not encouraged or instilled in our culture and religion. Tibetan Buddhists are liberal and regarding meat eating , there are many Tibetan Buddhists who are moving towards vegetarianism including myself and I think eating meat is more cultural ( high altitude and growing up in a meat eating family), rather than due to religious influence .

Kudos to Jamyang for showing such a sensitive topic and my ❤️ to Metok la. One of the disciple of Gyalwang Karmapa Trinley Thaye Dorje asked him what it is meant to be gay in Buddhism? Are they accepted? He gave an awesome answer: He further asked how many times in a day you think about your orientation while may be doing normal chores? The lady answered may be one hour two hour, then he said yes orientation is a part of your identity but not your entire identity. Our identity as a human being is of importance and Buddha is only concerned with people's mind and he cares little about our external things which as impermanent. Even though the traditional people was not very open to homosexuality in the past but as per Buddha Dharma it's never questioned as that way. I was there on that discourse. HH used to give personal discourses to small group of people on Saturdays long ago when things were normal. I so so miss those days.

@Pine Joi you are mistaken that is the other Karmapa Orgyen Trinley Dorje, my teacher is married with a kid. My teacher is endorsed by Indian Govt. as well and not a citizen of Dominican republic. Absolutely a kind man.I would absolutely love to be his friend.A person should not be defined by his sexuality. A straight person who is lazy, contributing nothing to his home and society is definitely worth judging .. Look how much he us helping the community,adhering to the rules of society and religion.His parents have brought him up well.Congratulations young man.If I will ever come toTibet,I would love to meet you. Thank you Jamyeng for introducing the young man to us.

People in Tibet esp the religion Buddism must see whats on his heart ,how he live even he was a gay .he was the most kindness person because of what he did for the elderly .sharing and giving to less fortunate and for animals ..it is not who he was ,but how he create a small impact to the rest of Tibetans is what matters the most .

Once again I find myself captivated by the magnificent views and colors. I love the people and how they appear to treat each other. The aerial (drone footage?) of the bridge and waterways was incredible. I'm an avid fisherman and so I'm wondering 🤔 how good is the fishing ? I have watched several of these videos today and I'm noticing that barley powder appears to be an important food source for humankind and animals as well. I'm totally surprised to see dogs eating it as though it were meat. I also noticed in another video which featured the generous man taking care of them, that all of the dogs appeared to be well nourished. I'm very glad I subscribed and I'm really excited to see more about Tibet. I'm sending greetings to the people of Tibet from Houston, Texas . You ladies and gentlemen are incredible. ❤👍🙂
