I see Gopherwood and Sunday being parallel to Cocolia and Bronya -- only on Penacony, Gopherwood's 'child' didn't rebel against his Stellaron-influenced goal like Bronya did. Gopherwood maybe got warped into a new form like Cocolia did, too (maybe his 'hive mind' ability in the Dream is a sign of that).

ive havent always loved hsr but loved playing it and its characters and with you helping me understand the story makes me appreciate hsr more and fall in love with it, thank you and I appreciate these videos!

Really great succinct recap! This clears up some of the muddled connections in my mind. Besides what you already mentioned, I was also wondering on some other things: 1) So Dreamflux Reef is like a whole community of those who’ve “died” via the meme (Sleepie) because that’s the only way to get from the pretty dreams (eg Golden Hour) to the Reef? If so, how does Gallagher (and Sleepie) even choose who to bring there? And supposedly they bring back those who have recovered, but isn’t that a problem in the long run if someone spills the beans about the Reef and the Family starts hunting down the place? They have the Stellaron too so I don’t think it’s impossible for them to reach it if they really wanted to. 2) How in the world did Argenti get to that Nihility domain and save Aventurine when only Acheron supposedly can cut a space to go there? How did Argenti even know Aventurine was there lmao 3) Speaking of Aventurine (and his crazy gamble), his eyes and the eye of Ena has got to have some connection with the similarity lol (maybe Ena was the goddess that Avgins followed before her disappearance and why there’s so much chaos in that planet) I’m really excited for Firefly and Jade’s roles on the next patch!

Okay this was actually really useful, especially with the stuff around Tiernan (and Raiden Mei) since I was lil confused on that. Also 21:30 I actually think it's not that she decided not to turn into Sam but that she COULDN'T due to the script. At the end of 2.1 Firefly said that she tried to reveal her identity to TB multiple times but the script prevented her. Also PLEASE do one on the Luofu! I don't think the story with the Xianzhou is over and what we got was like a part 1. There is still so much we don't know about the Alliance especially since the Luofu is only one ship in the Xianzhou. I also don't think we've seen the end of Belobog since Gepard has mentioned that the Eternal Freeze has substantially gotten better during Future Market as well as at the end of Masquerade Duet they make it seem like something big is going to happen which is why Sampo needs his mask. That said, IDK if that would be msq or a Continuance but it would probably be nice to have it's own recap video.

The one thing that really confuses me with HSR is the timeline and non-Xianzhou native ages. It feels like everything happened simultaneously in the last century and several thousand years ago.

I'm listening to this while I'm playing hsr in my head snapped so hard to the video when I heard the word grooming. Am I only thought was Sunday was groomed, he was a victim. I don't know why my brain went to that.

The term in this case means "preparing", as in preparing Sunday to be a successor. That sort of prep usually consists of strict classes and education on politics, policies, and world issues; along with strict etiquette and demeanor training (learning to control emotions in tense situations, learning to create emotional detachment for staff members like bodyguards) etc. Remember, The Family is basically a mafia/mob engaging in frequent criminal actions. There was always going to be seedy behavior and shifty plots.
