3:50 - Benetton hired Schumacher in 1991, not 1992. Schumacher drove 5 races for Benetton in 1991.

My favourite team - first learned about F1 from Benetton and all I know is its colourful and beautiful livery. the 1990 to 1994 liveries are my favourite. Really wonder what good liveries would they put on today's F1 cars.

I dare say that Team Enstone (Toleman>Benetton>Renault>Lotus>Renault>Alpine) has had one of the most influential effects on the F1 drivers' market in the sport's history. Just look at how many former, then-current and then-future champions drove with the team in its many guises at some point in their careers: Ayrton Senna (Toleman) Michael Schumacher (Benetton) Jenson Button (Benetton) Fernando Alonso (Renault, Alpine) Kimi Raikkonen (Lotus) Jacques Villeneuve (Renault)

The history of Benetton is an interesting one. They were perennial point scorers recording points in every year they competed in and for much of their history from 1988 through 1998, they were a top 4 team. That's quite an accomplishment for a team backed by a fashion brand. What's interesting too is that their cars routinely looked quite unique, defying the impulse to just copy what the front runners were doing. Particularly starting with the B191 and the introduction of the high nose, Benetton embarked on a somewhat unusual path of developing a very versatile race car instead of developing the outright fastest car on the grid, for which frankly they had always lacked the support of a leading factory engine supplier. With the "go-kart like" B192, B193 and of course culminating in the B194, Benetton was producing race cars that frankly didn't look nearly as sophisticated or technologically advanced as the Williams and McLaren, but instead proved to be formidably competitive, especially in the hands of Michael Schumacher. It was perfect timing as the FIA outlawed the active suspension technology thus inadvertently handing a huge, albeit temporary advantage to Benetton. This was an advantage because the Benettons were perfectly suited to Schumacher's "go-kart inspired" driving style in which he aggressively maneuvered his cars through corners with relatively modest fuel loads in an effort to offset the power gap to Renault. Of course in 1995, they managed to get those coveted Renault engines, which allowed them to be far more flexible with their strategies. That this approach was quite unique and aggressive became immediately apparent when Schumacher left Benetton with both Berger and Alesi struggling to replicate the immense success of the 1995 season.

Benetton was very successful only when Schumacher drove for them. Without Schumacher Benetton would have been an unsuccessful mediocre constructor.

6:11 lie, Sch scored 9 victories and Herbert scored 2, so no "all thanks to Schumacher".

Not quite correct. Schumacher didn't win all the 11 races for Benetton in 1995. Johnny Herbert won once.
