My lifelong friend and I had some great times playing this at the local arcade in junior high. It probably influenced our decision to join the Army for real. I just did a few years and he made a career of it, ending up a decorated combat veteran. Every time I see Cabal I think of those days at the arcade.

The chibi style sprites of the Spectrum and Amstrad version were done intententially, having accurate sprites in the game would mean less on screen and would be harder to see. Ocean also did the same thing with their port of Midnight Resistance.
