Clinchfeild 676/Union Pacific 3985 is the best steam locomotive for the CSX santa train back in 1990s I just love the sound of the massive Challenger stomping the grades and mountains, but it's sad that CSX doesn't let steam to run on the mainline this day, but thankfully 3985 is being restored at the RRHMA, and hopefully 3985 will return to the Santa train special, even 3985 is from Union Pacific but no matter what power, steam still rules the planet and never quits by the modern era and things going on in this world.

I truly hope that someday steam will once again have the opportunity to lead this wonderful train again. I have enjoyed the interesting and unique variety of diesels that have pulled this train over the years. But I do hope and pray steam will have its day again on this train.
