@@Uedukai Stop watching Fox news and other right-wing propaganda outlets. You might then still have a chance to regain a somewhat sane view of the world which is based in facts. Everything you claimed "the left are the actual fascists, bla bla" is categorically wrong and a clear sign that you have lost touch with reality, as a consequence of consuming too much right-wing propaganda. I hope you will be able to leave your bubble at some point.

According to this video, fascists can only be extreme nationalists. Could fascists also be extreme statists, assuming all the other fascist characteristics are included? What about extreme globalists, also assuming all the other fascist characteristics are included?

Not sure what extreme statism is. Is that the US? It imposed a single state, similar to a European government, on a non-European land mass. That's a lot of state-making. Extreme globalism, which means nothing - "globalism" is an anti-Jewish trope - might mean imperialism, or the expansion of capitalism across the globe. The two most recent, and largest, capitalist empires have been the British Empire and the current American sphere of influence. If you added in all those other characteristics, like sexism, racial oppression, state control of economy, maybe genocide, hostility to immigrants, etc.... sure I guess I'd say yes.

So in February 1919 Mussolini was a self-described "communist" (praised by Lenin) which everyone agreed at the time was "left wing" but a month later he was a "fascist" (which the left now labels "right wing"). The truth is that "fascism" has ALWAYS been a "left-wing" ideology. "everything in the state and nothing outside the state, nothing against the state" said Mussolini.

@@jak3358 Academics label fascism as right wing because "acamedics" are overwhelmingly left-wing activists who often embrace "cultural Marxism" and certainly are not willing to tell the truth about the history of fascism...which was started by communists who simply disagreed with one aspect of communism...the "anti-nationalism" tenet of communism". All the proof...the documents...the speeches...are available for anyone willing to do an honest recounting of history. FDR and many leftists were BIG admirers of "fascism" in the 30's. The left can deny but they can't destroy the written proof.

@@jscottupton I’ll debunk two things 1: Academics who are leftists WAY the fuck outnumber right wingers in almost any field. The only field that is even close is economics, leftism being 2:1 compared to right wing. 2: the voter ID law was specifically targeted at black people, with legislators looking up zip codes with majority black voter (since they majority vote dem) and wanted to restrict dem votes. Since these were poorer zip codes, the people living there had to work more, and it’s harder to set aside time and get an ID and vote when your working two jobs to support yourself and others.

This guy is not accurately explaining genuine historical fascism, and what was going on in Germany was quite different from fascism, national socialism is not fascism. National socialism was more like a religion, fascism was not. Nazism and communism we're both religions masquerading as social economic ideals. This guy reminds me of a gender studies professors at my University that have no actual knowledge of historical facts. Kinda funny really. "Point a finger at it"??? Really? The way you described it is how the East German police maintained order, that's really no different than this ideology he's trying to explain is dangerous. Hypocrisy anyone?

And Trump. The UK is a basket case at the moment. There is populism and chaos. It used to be right wing fascist. It's a mess at the moment. Hopefully democracy, true democracy, and not paid politicians by Russian oligarchs, and exiled British billionaires. I hope ye find a way out of the mess. I fear that Brexit will just make it more fascists. Hopefully Boris will see the light. Ha.

While it is uncommon to refer to Spartans as fascists, which would be a bit of an anachronism, I do agree that they displayed a lot of similarities (from what little I know). I view them as a sort of proto-fascists.
