Jim Henson’s various creations were pretty “out there” to say the least. Some definitely fell into the “experimental” category; and with experiments, there are inevitable failures...

I used to be genuinely terrified of this puppet when I was 9. But now that I’m older, he is still a pretty unnerving character, but he is also strangely calming in a way. Even his Sesame Street appearance is strangely calming. And knowing that it’s just a pile of strings makes it less scary for me.

The "Count Of Ten" and "Four, Yay!" sketches are a couple of the most beautifully mysterious and subtly humorous pieces on Sesame street. No one seems to be mentioning the masterful application of analog audio AND video synthesis in these numbers. I understand that many people misinterpret a psychedelic voice as "creepy". As a young child, I'd always feel supremely comforted and fascinated by Limbo's strong, dreamy voice, reassuring me that the life wasn't all boring, and protecting me from the real terror on Sesame Street: The apple tree on a hill cartoon.

This is gonna sound weird but I’m up late doing some research on this nobody character because when I was 2-8 years old I had an imaginary friend called doogalie I could visibly see, hear, and touch him he presented himself as the nobody face but with thin straw like dark hair that was patchy this is where it gets weird I never had traumatic experiences with doogalie but just this weak I was watching wendigoons video on child trauma and the image of nobody showed up and I got an uneasy feeling and started to tear up I rarely cry I felt a lot of trauma but like I said before nothing traumatic happened during those year wild I saw doogalie at least that I can remember i was born in 1998 in a town called hutto Texas there was a fire in 1902 off east street my mom lived with my grandparents and they had a house off main street which was the next street over from east street this fire eventually spread to parts of main street since it happened in 1902 I wasn’t able to find much information on it but my mom told me I would describe doogalie as a burned child also I never saw those shows that featured limbo/nobody Sam and friends from the 1950s I’ve never seen or heard of it same with the 1974 season from Sesame Street I’ve never watched any of those episodes but somehow from 2-8 years old I saw the face daily and now that I’m 25 years old this face gives me the chills to the point I get emotional what happened that I can’t remember am I being haunted by a child that got burned in 1902 that’s using the nobody face to interact with me kinda going crazy thinking about it….
