@Tony Montana kanye is more versatile, creative, has better vocal arrangements and samples. 10 different solo albums with each a unique sound. Produced for many artists such as jay z. Hes able to bring the most out of artists. Artistically kanye is better too. His use of production to create a concept album is better. An example is TLOP. Kanye uses gospel and trap music to portray his life (man of god/humbleness and materialism/ego). Kanyes ability to express himself through production is probably the best in hiphop. The production on Ghost Town to express his bipolar disorder is amazing. What mainly sets them apart for me is his versatility.

I love how he looked at the camera as he was doing the New Slaves outro, that was EXTREMELY hard to play, but he was locked in. The Yeezus sounds were so unorthodox, none of them really had elements of a piano. It's SO impressive that he was able to play New Slaves on a piano, that takes some fucking talent, and he knew it. MBDTF - Yeezus - Graduation - 808's & Heartbreak - TLOP - Late Registration - College Dropout. Here's why. MBDTF is sonicly one of the most impressive albums of all time. It bends hip hop the way no one have ever bended. It is a story, a realization of a moment in one's life that will change the one forever. Yeezus is just groundbreaking because its so different. It has things no one would ever thought that would work on this playground we call hip hop. Graduation. One of the first and only stadium hip hop albums. Samples with synths are executed perfectly. It's a jam that makes you say "old Kanye meets new Kanye". And he did it 2007. Yeah. 808's has a special place in my heart 'cause it was the first album that me and my dad listened to while drivinh. This album is about loss. You can't get the album if you haven't lost anyone close. That is the brilliance. The Life of Pablo. This joint has some shit also that no one ever thought that could work in hip hop. But still the album works. My theory behind the meaning of tlop is that after you make the most maximal album, you will make minimalistic album. After that you'll make cubistic album. Yea, it's music in the realm of cubism. Think about that. Then the last 2 old school hip hop albums. Classics, but won't have so much artistry that all those other albums had. Sorry for bad english, I'm drunk and from Finland, so perkele jos alat vihaa ni sit vittu vihaa.

Good shit, I only beg to differ with Yeezus. Artists have been doing that noisy industrial sound since the latest the 90's, most likely even earlier. Although Kanye did bring it to the mainstream, it's been happening in hip hop forever.

I'm not gonna lie this guy is externally l extremely good on the piano but he really did overdo most of these songs to the point I almost didn't recognize them.

I felt the same way

yeah the melody was lost on a lot of them. He's great, but really had to tune in to figure some out without the titles helping.
@mrpurplemonkeys328 жыл бұрын
Kaveon Foggy the thing is though, a lot of these songs wouldn't sound good if he just played the exact melody of the song since a lot of the songs are fairly simple
@B4raCk0s4Ma6 жыл бұрын
A lot of them were spot on though like Wolves, Stronger and Runaway

Kanye'a work is more staccato than this. The pianist is using too much sustain pedal. But it's still nice to the ears.

Very good! Blame game would have been a good song to include imo
@willsmath8 жыл бұрын
+RelaxAndTroll Pure speculation here, but he may not have included Blame Game because the piano part is actually a sample of Aphex Twin. Nothing against Kanye or sample-based music (MBDTF is one of my favorite albums of all time), but to include someone else's piano part in The Evolution of Kanye just seems a little off imo, and perhaps the pianist felt the same way.
@jeremyzeeky30248 жыл бұрын
+Will Smith But stronger is included??
@RelaxAndTroll8 жыл бұрын
Jeremy Zeeky yes because its an electronic sample. I get what he means, blame game is a direct piano sample from another artist and if he played that its not really showing Kanye's creativity.
@jeremyzeeky30248 жыл бұрын
RelaxAndTroll I don't know if I follow your logic. Very likely it's just going over my head lol. But in both cases Kanye didnt make the original song of "Stronger" and "Blame Game". The only difference is the instrument no?
@MavMK178 жыл бұрын
+Jeremy Zeeky Stronger gets a pass because its original song is sampled too.

MBDTF is hands-down the most musically flawless album I've heard so far, with all of the tracks meshing together perfectly regardless how or when you listen to them. -"Runaway" will always dominate a special place in my heart -"Gorgeous" and "POWER" simply showcase Kanye's lyrical flow like no other song can -"Dark Fantasy" was hands-down a perfect intro for the album. -"Lost in the World" culminates in an outro that left the listener thoroughly satisfied but also begging for a replay -How underrated "Devil in a New Dress" is will always confound me. -Even "Hell of a Life", the album's worst track, easily ranks within the top 30 Kanye songs. -Tbh "So Appalled" is a pretty mediocre track for me, but it doesn't interrupt the flow of the album in any way I didn't bother listing the songs in order BECAUSE THEY CAN BE LISTENED TO AND APPRECIATED IN ANY WAY. Kanye MIGHT just be an asshole, but MBDTF just shows why one must (or must not, depending on your perspective on the matter) detach the artist from his art.

my favorite kanye album of all time and I agree with most of what you say except for so appalled, that song is one of my favorites because cyhi ripppppped his verse. the RZA shouldn't have been on that song but everyone knows the story behind that so it's funny that he's on it
