I just want to say thank you for covering this! I am glad more people are realizing how awful TSHIT was. It was a whole mess and I’m so glad all the groups were freed from that hell. Somebody else mentioned the relief they felt when BAP and other groups announced their contracts were over and YES ABSOLUTELY. I broke down when i heard the news. I was so happy! I knew I’d never get my fave groups back but that was better than them being stuck in that company. I am forever mad about BAP bc they could have been the biggest kpop group if TS had done better but its alright. Now im just hoping for a reunion!!

On the topic of bad companies, have you heard of Open World Entertainment? They had groups such as Dae Guk Nam Ah (The Boss) and X-5, and solo artists like Jun Jin of Shinhwa. Their company closed down after the CEO was arrested for rape, sexual harassment, and assault of female singers and trainees. (Also, side note: I mentioned this in a comment on another one of your videos, but if you ever need a video idea, it’d be cool to see a video about Dae Guk Nam Ah. 👀 They’re very talented and I feel like they didn’t get the recognition they deserved. Eventually they mostly promoted in Japan. Two members left in recent years and now it seems the members all focus on their lives/ careers).

From what I can tell, TS was likely undergoing bankruptcy proceedings, which typically takes a few months. So even though the proceedings began in January, it would've only concluded in mid to late 2021.

As a BAP stan I’ve always known how bad TS was but seeing all put together like this, wow TS was way worse than I thought. Props to you to being able to put all this together, 50 pages that was a lot! A very detailed and well studied research i would say👍 i wish i was as enthusiastic completing my degree research thesis lol

Smaller companies have less funds and resources so the idols signed to smaller companies suffer the most. I'm glad that company is gone but so many labels abuse their artists and I wish they would speak up but they are afraid.

TBH I think SM used to be more horrible before laws got stricter, so they couldn't use slave contracts and abuse their idols as much. It's a lot better now, IMO.

TS’s absurdly large ego despite being a small company sure was something else. Their company was already facing late to underpayment allegations, debts, broken down dorms, contractual lawsuits- you name it, and what do they waste their money on? Trying to sue ex-staff for contract breaches even though they were already terminated or suspended. Sounds about right. Their genius is truly frightening, /s.

I wonder how the managment were allowed to act so arrogant and blatantly mistreat their idols. People say the CEO wasn't so bad, but he was an incompetent idiot too. How can you own a company and not protect your artists, who are your most valuable employees, knowing that they will sue you if you abuse them in all sorts of ways and refuse to pay them on top of that?????
