I think McDonald's saw your video, because the McDonald's Halloween Buckets indeed are back! The green witch is back too because that was the first one I got when I bought a happy meal for my little cousin yesterday. Happy Halloween! 🎃 👻

Here in 2024 and they have monster editions. Last year was more traditional but both years have crappy tops and no lids.

I think I read somewhere the pails where released as early in 1985 but only in very few locations as marketing test. I had the original pumpkin pails including a cookie cutter pail. Mcdonald's 2022 halloween pails don't have lids. It would cool if they would release new different monster pails like a vampire, werewolf... but with actual removable seperate lids!

I remember getting these a lot during my childhood. I especially remember the Mr potato head and the book of life ones, the later is a really underrated movie.

We are grow adults in our 30s, with no kids, but I have it on my calendar for when they supposedly are coming back. I'll be in the drive thru waiting for them on that day! So excited!

Great video. I was 9 when these pails debuted in 1986, and the original 3 are the ones I have so much nostalgia for. I have the three originals on a shelf in front of that original 1986 (87) translite, which is an absolute thing of perfection to me. I remember vividly eating happy meals are our McDonald's and seeing the translite on the menu board above the counter. Now its in my room. I miss those days...

I never had a happy meal as a kid, but I remember seeing the commercials for those pails and always wanted one. My mom just wasn't crazy about fast food. I have a 4 yr old who just had her first happy meal last week. If the rumors are true about them coming back I'm getting 2..one for the both of us🎃

What year is on the bottom of all the buckets? On eBay they’re all listed as 1986 and that’s what’s stated on the bottom even the witch and the ghost.

That date is unrelated to the individual release years of boo Buckets following 1986; disregard that date. Most of the dates don't match their respective release years.
