I loved the TV series with the exception of the 3rd season and how Disney executives did the show dirty but I love the film too and yes, Big Hero 6 does deserve more love and praise, thanks for the video :3

Cartoon Network has a kind of history with bad scheduling. In more recent times, they barely aired ninjago, despite it being its longest still running show (it currently has 14/15 seasons depending if you view the island as a season or a special and has been going for almost 11 years at this point) now I believe Netflix is going to air ninjago as the island and seabound have just been added to us Netflix

2032 is the real year the movie takes place, In the film there is a banner mentioning the 95th anniversary of The Golden Gate Bridge placing the film around the year 2032.

I refuse to accept the "canon" explanation, first off there's no way Japanese immigrants re-built San Francisco in their image simply because of the 1906 earthquake, it makes 0 sense because at the time only 90 to 120 Japanese immigrants (Which were mainly business men at the time) were living in San Francisco and around 400,000 people lived in total in San Francisco. I frankly think the true reason San Francisco looks more like Japan than the US is because Japan somehow won WW2 along with Germany, and since this is taking place in the distant future, possibly 150 years after WW2 it isn't too crazy to believe that Japan simply gave San Fransokyo back to the US, but even so who's the say San Fransokyo isn't still in Japan, there's no solid indication that the US even exists anymore during the events of Big Hero 6. So image Japan's White Castle borders but for Big Hero 6. A lot of things can happen in 150 to 200 years, and this is by far the most likely explanation, even though not the most realistic in my opinion it's the best out of any other explanation so far. Oh and by the way, even if the "canon" explanation states that a "sun" or "star" was created that wiped out all of the population, how is it possible that the majority perished *entirely* and the minority survived, it doesn't make any sense. Plus if this is the explanation then why didn't the East Coast of the US send relief help to the west, regardless if this was 1906 and FEMA didn't exist the US has contingencies to make sure all of it's territories and states were kept in clear communication with each other and if suddenly the entire state of California ceased to exist they would know about it, even if it took them a few weeks. (And the fact that a star is the closest canon explanation is stupid because if for example you took 20 grams of the surface of the sun into a small bucket *the entire west coast, half of the central us, and small parts of Northen Mexico would completely die, and a full nightmarish apocalypse would occur around the globe because of the destroyed atmosphere in that area.)*

This origin story is historically inaccurate when Japanese American immigrants came mainly from the Chugokuand Kyushu regions, which is basically the west coast of Japan. These would have been pesants who only had farming skills at the time. They would not have named their new city after Tokyo which is Eastern Japan. The major cities in the west where they came from are Hiroshima and Fukuoka. These sort of surface level fetishism of Japanese culture reveals a desire to exploit and appropriate the exoticism of a foreign culture without first doing research. This bothers me.

A boy crying in a movie heresy men do not cry if you do cry you'll. lose everything your respect and possibly your girlfriend because that's what happened to me. I cried once and she told me that I was not a masculine man anymore from this from that day forward I vowed never to cry again so men do not cry not even in private. If only we could get rid of our tear ducts but the only reason why we have the ability to cry is because. We have to keep our eyes moist that's why we have tear ducts but if it was up to me I will remove the tear ducts. ( Disclaimer I am just kidding please do not take me seriously. But in all seriousness my girlfriend did leave me because I cried Once and she told me I wasn't masculine enough. )
