Sirs ., I have just had a conversation with a metal worker ., and were talking about the use of green Swarfega as a temperature indicator when heating metal to annealing temperature .. As i remember ( I saw the process in the 80's in passing ) under heat to anneal., the metal ( aluminium or silver ) or the Swarfega would blacken .. Have you any record or knowledge of this process .? For further reference I did find a ref to Swarfega as a tapping compound in a Google Books ., "Ceramic burners for model steam boilers" ., by Alex Weiss ..You guys are more than something we wash our hands of .! Keep up the great work..
