This is a magnificent car. I went in a 180D Mercedes Taxi in Dublin in the mid 1950s. The E Class is always my favourite car.

This is a wonderful video. I went in a 190 D MB taxi in about 1958 in Dublin. The particular company at that time had 6 Pontons in it's fleet. I always love Mercedes Benz.

I really like the newest e Class saloon with the sporty grill and large 3 point star in the middle of grill. The two main headlights instead of four.

I saw both in the museum. However the W114 / W115 models were pretty important for the E-Class.

yeh, but mecedes came out with the double lights before Lexus in 1995 for the 1996 E class.

im a w115 w123 guru myself, once the cras emblems became chrome plated plastic, i named the new car plastic cars with plastic stars, non restorable disposable mercedes, as a mechanic i was astounded when i removed a door panel and a reclycle symbol was imprinted on the door panel, you know the tryangle with arrows around it.. and plastic bumper covers, this car was made from recylced trash beer cans for the alloy engone water bottles for the plastic and styraphome coffee cups inside the bumpers

i never want to depend on a compuetr controlled car, nothing worse than a roll back ride for a crank positioning sensor, a bad electronic key or a mass flow air sensor going bad, just spells dead on the side of an arizona road desert waliking only to get a ride from an old chevy or ford,
