1:06:48 one of those heartfelt moments ill never forget my dad had gone to the video store to rent a game and asked me what game i wanted to rent, i said smackdown vs raw 2006. ill never forget playing svr 2006 till midnight which was very late for me at 12 years old haha but we were doing a tables match i was hbk he was john cena and i couldnt figure out how to put him through the table so i would pick him up and just repeatedly supekick him over and over again until finally as if by some miracle i finally figured it out and smashed cena through a table its a memory i wont forget.

This was an awesome “History Of”. While I may not be the biggest UFC/MMA fan, this series definitely opened my eyes. Not to mention, I would love to try some of these for myself one day, such as the UFC Undisputed trilogy and definitely EA UFC 3. I realize this was only in one part, but you talked about cherished gaming memories and I literally just remembered one. My really good friend (basically a brother from another mother literally) and I used to play the daylights out of the original Super Smash Bros. on the N64, and extremely long story short, I'm permanently disabled and take pain killers and muscle relaxants daily as a medical thing, and he ALWAYS used to beat my ass in Smash. Except one time where I was playing him while on Valium, and the closest analogy I can think of is that on that night, in Smash, I went basically Ultra Instinct before that concept existed and finished him off for a win in the most lit way imaginable. We still talk about it to this day, 20-ish years later.

Anderson, Junior Dos Santos and Jon Jones were the UFC athletes to get a Nike sponsorship, here Nike pulled the plug, due to Jones’ antiques. I don’t remember if EA couldn’t/wouldn’t get the Nike license, or Nike had already pulled the plug, I believe it’s the latter. But if you watch the very first EA UFC reveal trailer, you’ll see Anderson Silva in Nike shorts.

UFC on PS back when it was my only option and I didn't know about any other games so it was the standard to me..well it didn't feel all that bad to us lol but we only played against each other but I dunno it just felt ok lol but looking back it's hella rough eh lmao..cough still waiting for blitz revival season 3 baby! Alright so I've wanted to tell this story to you on many different occasions but here we go. One time I was playing Day of Reckoning with my dad. We were in a fatal 4 way having a great match. (I really wish I could remember the participants but I'm fairly certain I was Hurricane and Dad was Matt Hardy) anyway Dads got one of the cpus beat 1...2... and I elbow drop the referee. We go back and forth til the ref finally recovers and just as he stops stumbling I cover the other CPU and... 3!!! No 1 no 2 he went straight to three and I was the winner!!! Definitely one of my favorite video game memories with my Dad. Hope you had a great Christmas, and I cant wait for whatever you've got coming next!

lol I had the same exact break in my right hand middle finger, in Baltimore during the storm of the century the blizzard of 93 we got a shit ton of snow followed by an ice storm that laid the ice on top of the snow and it was super thick like 4-6 inch of just ice and I saw a snow man and walked up to him and cold cocked him not realizing in the moment that he was an ice man with a skull thicker than a Samoan professional wrestlers At least you had a good doctor my doctor said no need for surgery and it took over 6 months for my finger/hand to fully heal, so it’s now twisted all weird shorter then my pointer and ring finger and my middle knuckle is in about the middle of my hand because not only did I break shit and twist the bone all up I but I also broke the growth plate so my deformed twister knuck less finger never grew another centimeter (I was like 10 or 11 when I broke it so I still had some growing to do)
