Just a little note: we can't say that the Rus' was exactly ukrainian, it was a culture that diverged into 4 cultures including Ukraine. I disagree, italic civilization had existed before Rome even existed starting in the 1,200s BC with the italic tribes migrating into Italy. The latins were one of the tribes that United the others and then grew into the Roman Empire we all know. When Rome fell, Italy fragmented into smaller italic states and then reunited. Though romes legacy is shared with other Latin countries, it is still an italic creation and those others are descendants of those who were assimilated by the ancient Italians.

Also, keep in mind that the word italic only refers to the tribes that separated from the celts and the germanic tribes. The "italic states" after the fall of Rome are Romance. After, when you say assimated, that means that their culture is erased and the people are now seeing themselves as the culture that assimalited them. For exemple, you've got many languages of "oïl", in northern France that have just been assimilated by French (that developped from Paris), so now everybody speaks French there. But the origin of the French themselves (i'm speaking now of the majority of people in metropolitan France, exept Corsica, Basque country, Brittany and Alsacia), is a mix Celtic ("Gaulois") + Roman + Germanic people (Franks, Burgundians & others) In Italia, people are *mostly* descendents of Etruscan + Italic peoples (including Romans) and germanic (ostrogoths...). Romance is really just a deceiving word that makes people think that those civilizations are no longer latin, but a successor to it which is not true. Many people in those times didn't consider them to be romance peoples, they thought of themselves as latins. Even the greeks in the eastern roman empire agreed to that. Romance is more of a modern differentiation like the term "byzantine". Now, I fully agree that there was a differentiation between those multiple latin cultures. But they were still latin peoples. Like how the greeks in Ptolemaic egypt were very different from the greeks in pontus.

Some things you could have done to make your video better: -The year counter in the bottom left is a little bit too transparent to the color of the land behind it, and while it can be seen, it would look more visually appealing if the background had a different color at least. -The entirety of the Kyivan Rus could have been shown despite it extending far beyond Ukraine, to show the full extent of what it controlled. -When Ukraine was under the Soviet Union it would have been cool if you showed Ukraine as an SSR in a reddish color, since Ukraine wasn't independent but it obviously still existed as a thing. -Following the one above, you could have also put the rest of the Soviet Union itself on this map with what is visible, along with marking these place's names.

Відео недосконале. після монгольського вторгнення князівства існували ще до 15 сторіччя, повністю проігнорований період доволі сильної Галицько-Волинської держави.
