But real-life Africa can be like that in the future. Africa once had great kingdoms and empires, for a thousand years. Mali, Zanzibar, Great Zimbabwe. Many others. Once Africa is fully healed from the damage from colonialism, Africa will be rich and successful. African countries will be like Japan and south Korea today. All that we see in Wakanda is in Africa's real-life future, as great Empires are in Africa's real past!

To keep the attention away from Wakanda and maintain their isolationism in the MCU, any trade is done by its neighbor the kingdom of Zamunda. Whose tribe worshipped the Lion God. Any precious metals or raw materials that's from Wakanda are exported where became the middle man for trade with the rest of the world. Zamunda became rich in the modern era until Wakanda ended their isolationism. Still ends up merging with Wakanda since Zamunda is still part of the various tribes that was originally part of Wakanda kingdom.

Is this Wakanda history before or after the movie? Because there is a difference. There's the real history and then there's the money making history.

I think it is before and then it is just where the movie ends. Remember Chadwick died so the story got thrown all over the place since Chadwick was such an iconic, T'Challa replacing him with another actor was not an option! I think there are many parts of Wakanda we did not know, because the black panther movie, did not explain a lot, and was all about introducing T'challa as a superhero, possibly deliberatly to leave room to make for a franchise? The new black panther Movie is called Wakanda Forever, so i a guessing it will explore more about the History of Wakanda, and may actually focus more on the Red Skull, Captain America (Younger version, a new actor, since Captain America got old) and T'chaka! That is my guess, just like they did for captain America! I am guessing they will go back in time, instead of the future and focus on the father of Klaw the invasion of South Africa, Redskull Captain America and T'Chaka! Shuri is out since she got into that vaccination stuff with Covid, so I do not think they will explore this story line, and Lupita was really a bit dry but maybe later in Black panther 3, they might pick up the story of Shuri and the Skrulls (Especially now that they got the new Eternals movie out) and how she manages to destroy Atlantis as the New Black Panther, when people have forgotten and maybe use a new yonger actress to play Shuri.
