That's probably because succubi's shtick is being seductive, they might still hate the summoner but they don't show it as much. I'm sure many a warlock have ended up becoming their succubi's slaves instead of the opposite. Though there is apparently some lore that says some succubi have indeed fallen hopelessly in love with their summoners.

Felguard is still the most badass Warlock pet, and I can't wait to see the video on that fella. I'm just sad seeing Blizzard ruining specs that focus on your pets (Demonology Warlocks and Beast Mastery Hunters). It's like it's not even the pet that matters anymore. I remember when your Pet was the one doing the damage and being your support. In BC, my BM Hunter with the Dino pet from Un'Goro Crater, before the Monstrous Bite nerf/change which meant a 15% damage stack, could crit 2 - 2.5k with Bestial Wrath.

VIZIN #Bounce Idk when this comment was posted and i didnt bother to check every comment on here but in the case of demo locks, their top dmg ability is always imp fire bolt followed by dread stalkers etc, most of their dmg now is pet and all about getting as many pets out as possible for the artifact ability, i mean i might b wrong, that's just wat i see with the demo lock friend of mine that i run a lot of stuff with, demo is bomb and totally pet oriented, cant speak for bm hunter tho as mines only 102 and marksman spec lol but i do know the bite ability thing where u tell ur pet to bite or w/e is their best shit and its pet dmg right? Succubus invis was used in pvp mostly, Specially in duell, if u faced a rouge, rue rogue would just sap or blind the PET and open on lock and pretty much win the duel.

The Succubus quest made me really glad I went with *Alliance* Warlock: you don't have to kill *anyone* to bind your succubus if you're an Alli. IIRC, you get the quest at the Slaughtered Lamb in Stormwind and are sent dangerously-near Camp Taurajo to learn about legendary elven lovers who died at the Heartswood tree in Ashenvale. Then you have to go there and retrieve a Heartswood root (there are a lot of Warlock mobs with pets out so you should be careful and/or accompanied) and bring it back to the Slaughtered Lamb to summon and overpower your succubus; no innocents or purehearted people murder needed!

Thing about going to Camp Taurajo if you have never been to Kalimdor before as a human for your first character. It was like a level 20 quest, so you don't want to go through Stranglethorn, but if you don't know Kalimdor. All you have to go with is the map in the game manual. So, you might think to go to Theramore to make for less running than from Darkshore. The run through the Wetlands at level 20 is still not fun, but doable. BUuuut....Dustwallow Marsh is just as bad as Stranglethorn for things that will kill you. Then you don't know where the Horde might be in the Barrens, so you get too close to Camp Taurajo and welllll. Then you have to through all of Ashenvale, which you have not gone through before to get to side right next to Darkshore, which you have also never been too. It was an adventure, and I was quite glad that I did not have to walk back to the Barrens to talk to anyone before going back to Stormwind (Hearthstone to Westfall than fly to Stormwind).

I still remember how warlocks got meta for a brief period and was able to become incredibly looking illidan-like creature. I got 2 chracters I played regularly, it was Warlock and DK. And when warlocks got their meta removed I forever abandoned my lock. Damn, it was s cool, you even could drop from height as a flaming meteor with a glyph.

The fel succubus fact is wrong there are two versions one is the fel succubus version obtained from the same mobs in the cathedral of night and the other is the shadow succubus obtained by doing what is stated in the video. Great vid btw

True. The one from Tehd's Succubus was the shadow version. The Fel Succubus variant iirc was a 1% drop chance from Heroic or Mythic CoEN from the succubus mobs or the world quest mini boss in the dungeon (can only drop for warlocks). Not sure if they only drop when the mini boss is up but that's the only time they dropped for me. Have 1 for each spec :P

only the horde quest required you to kill people (only the horde version requires you to go to a different level zone, you have to cross Arathi and a kill guy across the Thandol Span the other one is next to Greymane Wall). The ally version went and collected heart wood of a tree in Ashenvale between Maestra's Post and Astranar, where two tragic lovers died.

I would like to correct you on something. Kissing that fel succubus npc gives scribe recipe for Glyph of Shadow Succubus. Fel Succubus comes from item called Orb of the Fel Temptress. It drops from succubus mobs in the cathedral of eternal night dungeon and only for warlocks.

if i remember correctly, Blood Elfs had a racial that was called "manna tap" I want to know what happened to this or if i was just so young at the time ( being 18 now) i was imagining an ability that wasn't in the game. You used to have to use mana tap to gain charges of mana tap so that you could eventually use the aoe silence. I think you needed 3 stacks and it gave you mana or energy back depending on your class.

Mana Tap only existed during the Burning Crusade, it was combined with Arcane Torrent in Wrath of the Lich King. This isn't by memory, I took the time to look it up.

Like Izical said, mana tap would steal a small amount of mana to your target and restore your character's resource pool and give you a stacking effect. At 3 stacks you could "release" the mana for an aoe silence.

Just wanna point out, it's not the felskin you get from the world quest, that's the shadowy skin you get from the world quest. For the Fel skin, or the Hellblaze temptress skin you have to farm Cathedral of the Eternal night for an orb of the fel temptress from the fel succubus mobs or bosses in there.

Oh man the fun I had with Succubus, you used to be able to chaos bolt then seduce right after the cast, the first seduce would not break so could cast a second chaos bolt and bang they were dead.

There was a short time when they re-worked demonology where a Paladin could use their Blessing where if you go to 0 hit points it would keep you at 5HP. I forget what it was called but if you had a Paladin cast that on your Succubus at the time and you sacrificed it you got the 15% for sacrificing it on top of the 10% for having it out. Giving you a 25% increase to shadow dmg. If you add Curse of Shadow at the time to that. It's a 35% increase to shadow dmg. I remember pulling aggro in molten core when this was a thing. I might be wrong on the % since it has been ages since Vanilla wow. I miss those days.

at Patch 5.0.3 to 5.1 you could Grimoire of Sacrifice on the Succubus and you can use 3 CC that dont share DR, Blood horror+ Grimoire of Sacrifice: ability seduce + fear which equals over 30sec CC if used all correctly but it only lasted for a whole patch but was fun and broken.

yes a very low% pain in the ass drop. or just a low% that can only drop if you random into it not direct que. I directed the cath. every day since it opened and only got it 2 months later in a random but can't be 100% on this. O and thats killing every fel succubus in the instance.

The most common usage of its invisibility is in PVP. While invisible, rogue can't sap succubus. This allows warlock to seduct anything without a fear of succubus being CCed.

I rem being alliance in AV you could glide to the roof of the first bunker. I would position my succubus at the edge and bait horde to come out onto the roof of the lower porch. Then use my smash down thing (cant rem what it was called) then use the pets aoe to shoot them off and they would fall down the cliff to their deaths. I could get like 4 or 5 kills at once doing that. It was a fun time.

You're very wrong about the method of obtaining the fel succubus skin. It's an item you can get as a rare drop from Cathedral of Eternal Night. The skin you showed in the video is just a shadowy alternative for the normal succubus.

She only worked on melee in vanilla ofc it worked on casters to but it wasn't a smart play seeing that the felhunter can counter spell, devour magic and had a stealth buff that increase stealth detection so basically she was only good on warriors
