I think History may be the strongest series on this channel. A look back at competitive meta decks piloted by two duelists who are pretty equal in skill and have a very natural chemistry with each other. It's such a good time.

@@otangakudyokeman7124 The thing is that after a point they start playing decks with some serious skill ceilings, that won tournaments by being piloted by someone who knew their potential plays through extensive practice and experience. This series is giving those decks to two guys with pretty strong general game sense and historical knowledge, but little to no time to learn; it's not feasible for them to play these decks in the best ways they have been. Joseph's said this on Twitter at some point, and that's absolutely fair to hear from him, chance has sorta given him some of the more execution-heavy decks in this series.

At first I thought we were just bullying Gage in progression highlights. But watching these makes me realize that Prog just had no moments where Cimo got clutched on, here we see a great 50/50 sided “who looks like a god and who looks like a peasant” moments.

Unfortunately Progression, unlike all the other series, isn't very balanced against utter steamrolling if one persons pulls are too good compared to the other player, combined with the winner also getting a victory prize. With Sealed Saturdays, Jank and History they use preselected decks. With Sealed Showdown and Auction the luck of the pull is there, but they discard all those cards at the end of the episode and start fresh. I stopped watching Progression partly because they were getting to sets where I knew none of the cards(stopped playing around the end of the GX era), but also because it just seemed Gage was at too much of a disadvantage and it wasn't fun to watch him constantly get trounced by the early broken DM staples.

@@otangakudyokeman7124 It has to do with No.33 Chronomally Machu Mech, Gagaga Girl, and going 2nd to drop a high-powered monster with 3000 ATK to 0 off of Gagaga Girl's effect inflicting that as damage to the opponent, then Machu Mech gains that damage as ATK bringing it to 5400 ATK, then by attacking the monster with 0 ATK that is a total of 8400 damage from Machu Mech alone. Trust me, it worked ;)

No, this thought is wrong on two fundamental levels. First of all, in a chain, cards in the chain links don't resolve until their chain link comes back to them. In this instance, that means first Royal Decree doesn't apply it's effect yet, meaning all other traps chained to it will resolve since they are not negated. Second, if you chain Royal Decree to Royal Decree, the one which was activated after the first will resolve first and then negate the effects of the first one. This means double Royal Decree acts like if there was only one on the field, except you need to destroy both to activate traps.
