Yeah he needed to tribute summon the third jinzo and then there would be 12 total as it can also banish monsters from the field as well as the graveyard, I think that might have been the mistake there, I would have just done the play without calculating damage ahead of time because there is no reason to over think it, the position is dead lost if that doesn't win the game edit: that being said, I would have had no idea you could sens jinzo returner and jinzo simultaneously to summon the jinzo

Considering MBT already revealed MST, could have done that to play around Premature Burial being destroyed by MST or Heavy Storm. Then the last Jinzo would be in grave the following turn for Overload Fusion. However, I think Cimo was only thinking about keeping Jinzo in his hand for Dark Grepher to pitch Jinzo and send Jinzo Returner, which would have gotten him a free Jinzo on board, but would not have let him out the Dragoon. At that point I don't think Cimo was thinking about actually drawing Future Fusion lol

@@nyanbrox5418 searching Stratos I would say is a misplay. He should just went straight for disc commander. Stratos litteraly does nothing here. If he went straight for disc commander, he still has a normal. This also benefits if he draws say, cyber valley since it does buy him another turn since mbt would have to banish it. Meanwhile all Stratos does is.... nothing. He needs specific draws to otk mbt and if he gets those draws Stratos isn't required. Also if Stratos lives a turn, you lose to dragoon.

Ironically, Dragoon is how I wish they designed DPE to make it more balanced and less splashable outside HERO decks. They should've given DPE's revival effect the same clause as Dragoon's "banish another HERO monster to special summon a Destiny HERO monster during the next standby phase". That would've balanced out DPE significantly while not reducing it's power in HERO decks.

@@Barracius Yup, although I think this is more a case of bad card design and Konami failing to properly R&D test their cards before releasing them. It only took players 1 day after DPE's reveal to realize it's splashability. This, like many other poorly designed cards Konami has historically made, could easily be remedied before release if they only tested their products.

Okay, 2 things, I find particularly hilarious in this one: 1. Cimo actually almost had lethal in game 2. He just forgot about the lowest Cy Dra in his GY. If that Jinzo in his hand was in the GY too by any means, he would have actually had Overdragon with 9600 ATK, sufficing for lethal damage. So... damn... close... 2. MBT, start reading your damn cards, then you could've won game 3! Chain Material is in this deck, because it also allows you to use monsters FROM YOUR DECK as material for a fusion summon, so you could've used Dogma and Plasma from Deck to do it!

The tragic thing is that Cimo would have had lethal with Overload Fusion in game 2 if the third Jinzo was in grave instead of in hand. With 3 Jinzos, 3 Jinzo Returners, 3 Cyber Valleys, 1 Card Trooper, and 2 Cyber Dragons that would be 12 materials, and 12 x 800 atk is 9600 atk. Which would've hit over the Dragoon for just 100 lp over lethal

Quickdraw Dandy Plants, Dragon Deep Draw, Fish OTK, Frognarchs, Vayu Turbo/Blackwings, Zombies, Amaryllis Burn, Fairies, Diva HERO, HERO Beats, Gadget Control/Machina, Synchro Cat/X-Sabers, Gladiator Beasts all have some competitive shine (admittedly the last few are relatively weak or inconsistent). For jank there’s also Ancient Gear, Aliens (Gol’gar is actually a sick boss), Gravekeeper Stun, Athena Fairy Burn, Panda Burn, Morphtronics, Six Samurai (pre-red and blue, so I don’t believe there is an infinite loop), there’s a few more kinds of burn (chain and panda), etc. Very diverse format.

Fun thing about dragoon. In my childhood, I had read somewhere that between games, you can trade side deck cards for md cards. I somehow read this as between turns, you can trade ed cards with md cards. This, I made the 5000 iq play of dragoon turbo where the goal was to trade him to my hand, discard him with lightning vortex or smth, and revive him using one of the 5 garbage dh cards I owned like dunker or departed.

Virus Dragoon Turbo was the deck I played for pretty much my entire YGO career until I took a long hiatus shortly after Dino Rabbit Era, so seeing this brings back a lot of nostalgia. Debris Dragon was another noteworthy tech for this jank deck. You can use it to bring back Phantom of Chaos and overlay into a Rank 4 Xyz and was also a one-card Black Rose Dragon if you brought back King of the Swamp. This is still one of those decks I want to bring back and update for super casual play in the modern day.

I found a cool potential line for Cirno in the second game. In this deck, you usually want the Jinzos in the GY. When Cirno resurrected the Jinzo with Premature, he had the option of tributing the Jinzo on field to summon the Jinzo in hand. I paused the video and thought about it and thought it was the right play. Later, after he future fusions he has the option of using Overload Fusion, which can only use materials from field or GY (not hand). If that Jinzo in his hand was in the GY or on the field, the Chimeratech summoned off of Overload would be at 9600 ATK. MBT had 6500 LP and a 3000 ATK monster on field. This would’ve given him lethal.

Now if i were in your position mr cimo for game 1...i would have cydra'd limitered attacked into prisma..then summon valley and it would not die to limiter as it was summoned after the fact...dragoon pops valley but then joesph cant conduct his battle phase if he uses the effect (he was right about flexing his inability to read cards) obviously not game winning but it may have bought a few turns

Am I wrong? Game 2 the Jinzo in hand mattered, if Cimo sacked off h is Premature Burial Jinzo wouldn't he have been able to get lethal because all the Jinzos would be in the GY? 8x12=9600 which is just over lethal with Overdragon. 9600-3000=6600.

Oh talking about last episode. Just wanna point out. Cimo read the updated text for Crystal beast. They hard nerf them. Like a nerf that they don't even need. Killing the already dead archetype. Before, if they got destroyed, they go to the Spell and trap zone. Ever since the Legendary Duelist updated text. It puts "if this face up card is destroyed in the Monster Zone" so how Cimo bitched about it. Yeah he didn't know of the old text for the Crystal Beasts.

The way I'm thinking it works is that the crush card sends disk commander for cost, so it's off the field before crush card resolves, and then you can activate limit reverse as chain link 3 to summon it back? Or is that not how it works?

Its objectively worse but the version of the destiny end dragoon using terraforming and fusion gate was a much bigger flex because with chain material you can summon all 3 dragoons in one turn. The only other use i can think of for chain material at this point is with vehicroid connection zone since that prevents chain material from destroying the fusion monster at the end of the turn but its still a pain to find and activate chain material and roids completely suck. Ultra swag though.

One thing worth of note is that cimo could have won game 2... if he sacced the prematured jinzo for the one in hand. In that case, he'd have 3 jinzo, 3 returner, 2 cydra, 3 valley, 1 trooper for 12 mats, which makes a 9600, minus 3k for... 6600 damage, just a bit over lethal. But he didn't, so he couldn't, so he died. The decision is pretty hard tbh, keeping it in hand enables allure, whereas he did have overload in hand at that point and therefore should be aware of the benefit of sending more machine to the grave. (and had he known exactly how many machine he have, he might have been aware that he need all 12 to get lethal off chimeratech over dragoon)

YES DRAGOON. I was taught to play this game by my friends with my friends budget six sams and a hero deck that the whole plan was turbo dragoon. Keep in mind this is 2020

Also you are going an extra turn with the virus cards. The turn they are activated count as turn 1

You know, DPE's name should have a reference to this card for being the OG Destiny Hero fusion and its reviving ability. Not only is Phoenix Enforcer not a Destiny Hero, its effect is far away from that of DPE's.

Ok, sincere question: wouldn't chimeratech overdragon send the future fusion to the graveyard, therby killing itself? or am I missing something? because a lot of people are saying that Cimo could have summoned it to attack Dragoon using the overload fusion and I just don't get it.

You summon it with overload not future fusion so the future fusion effect doesn't kill it
