@@KleioChronicles But this isn't dark humour, it's a reference to a completely unrelated property, cause Matrix has nothing to do with stealth/assassination. And it's not just a throwaway joke played for laughs, it's a literal plot point. In the games, even when they do silly stuff, they don't show 47 as an incompetent buffoon who figures walking in and getting scanned with a sniper in his coat is the best way to infiltrate an embassy, and can't possibly know they'll place his rifle on the interrogation table, fully loaded, aimed at him. Holy hell that sounds even stupider written down. His hints to the targets in Whittleton Creek, Mumbai, etc. are cheesy, but they're just self-aware in-jokes. Stuff like the clown outfit, reality-bending suitcase, anything related to AI, are all either side effects or funny consequences of Hitman being a videogame, and wouldn't work in any other medium unless used as an easter egg. But that doesn't mean humor in a Hitman movie CAN'T work, some of the best action movies in history do have jokes in them lol. The critical distinction is that the Hitman movie had dogshit writing.

I think the best way to make a Hitman movie work is to not make 47 the focus, at least for the first half. Make it a thriller from the target(s)’s POV, make 47 blend in the background in a way that you’d catch him in a second viewing.

that's exactly how the newer games are built, 47 has his own character sure, but he works better as a kinda observer to the story most of the time, then again this was pre hitman reboot and 47 was more the focus of the older game's plot so makes sense ig

They need to cast the voice actor, David Bateson. He literally looks the part as well as being the iconic voice. And get rid of the god awful writers and stupid CGI. A Hitman movie should be slower and more methodical, these are the qualities that make the character so interesting. No assassinations? no disguises? They have no idea what this franchise is even about.

I know this video is old but a hitman movie where he is essentially mute and subtly training someone while protecting them and taking out targets would be cool. Doing an escort mission in a game is lame so doing it the move lets them do something a little different while keeping in line with the franchise but also not trying to be so 1-1 with the game that you would rather just be playing it.

A real hitman movie's plot, as written by me, with 0 movie making qualifications. 1st Act: The Mansion So, the movie begins with a badass opening of Agent 47 after the first hit of the movie, residing in a mansion, with his creative and the bad ass moves we've come to expect from him, 47 takes out the security silently around the mansion and makes his way through this mansion.(Oh, and Agent f4 actually LOOKS like an intimidating hitman this time). As the movie opens with its opening credits, we get slow motion shots and a slow reveal montage esque of the Agent we love as he takes out all of the security, and finally the hit. Alongside this, 47 grabs a Flash Drive, containing info on the top gun in this "secret organisation" (idk, Providence or something?) and the top dogs of said organisation, who he sets out to kill for the rest of the movie. 47 reports in with Diana, where we get a little bit of a briefing into just who this organisation is and their motive. AKA: The Exposition. 2nd Act of the Movie: 47's Second Hit. Location: Dubai (Possibly the same location in Hitman 3) This is where we get an in depth look into how 47 thinks, with an almost Sherlock style flash between his environment as he decodes it into how he can use it to help him. It is here, following the briefing from Diana off the information from the flash drive obtained, that 47 is after 2 targets within this building, which, by eliminating them, will give him access to his final target, and he uses disguises to his advantage of course. He overhears conversations to gain intel, grabs objects that at first glance have no value, but come in handy later, etc etc. Now after all this, and maybe a few intense close calls here and there, 47 manages to eliminate 1 target of who he is looking for, but in doing so, slips up, and the emergency alarm is pulled. After chasing and attempting to find his target, and just almost getting them, they escape. Leaving 47 in a distraught circumstance which almost ends in him getting caught. But he barely makes it out of the building as security sweeps in. Act 3: The redemption. With 47 failing his mission, reflecting on his past so we get some of that sweet backstory, he obviously wishes to strike back due to failing. Enter a Berlin Hitman 3 styled section, where , with his contact with Diana closed off so that she can stay low, he goes solo with these men searching for him. He takes out a whole load of the organisations lower ranking men in order to get the message across, and in order to get the rest of the information which he missed out on in Dubai. Queue more badassery. (Idk I didn't think this part much) Act 4: The Finale With him now having the information needed, 47 is now able to sneak into what I would think to be some sort of Isle of Sgail, still with no Diana however. Comms offline. Big party, we get a similar sort of montage to that which we got at the start, but this time less gun shots, less brute force, 47 is smart, and calculated. He takes the time to grab his unsuspecting objects, plant these in unsuspecting locations, and at this point, it isn't entirely clear to us (the audience) what 47 is really doing. At this point it's a disorientating montage of random shots of 47 preparing for what's to come. Until, 47 finds the target who escaped before, and manages to take them out with ease. 47 then confronts his final target, and to us, with barely any real plan. It turns out this big mafia boss or whatever was able to capture Diana, with her tied up, something 47 wasn't expecting. Boss gloats about how he will succeed, and 47 reveals to both the boss and the audience his full plan, it is then here that we get a montage of all those things 47 did before, coming into play, these seemingly useless planned out objects, propane flasks, you name it, take out every single guard in the building. It leaves the boss defenceless, and in a quick shot instinct, 47 shoots Diana free, and the boss makes a mad run for it out of fear for his life, running past all the dead bodies of the security 47 had taken out with his master plan. Diana, from her recon point, instructs 47 on where the target is, and he walks/runs after the boss with ease. It's here, that the final confrontation happens. The boss pulls a gun on 47, and in 1 last badass move, 47 instructs the boss to look at his feet, to which he finds a perfectly planted proximity mine at his feet. Kaboom. Conclusion: Queue the end of Hitman 3 sort of deal, where we see 47 out in a forest, preparing for his next hit with 1 last badass line to say to Diana. e.g "No one is untouchable" or something like that.

The complete wrong actor to play 47. He doesn't have a low voice, he has hair, and he doesn't have the physique.

Oh god they made another one? I remember the one with Timothy Olyphant. That wasn't too bad. Though I do agree, having gunfights in a movie about a silent assassin is silly. Especially when you know how ludicrously lethal gunfights are to you in the game.

Bruh agent 48 is way more similar to agent 47, a man who usually doesnt speak, shorts words, actually bald and he speak more like the actual character. I think they didnt had enough budget to make our man appear on the entire movie lol
