if you buy a HMO that has an existing HMO license in an article 4 area, is it transferable to the new owner? thanks

Do you think the planning system is set up the way it is to control the supply. If the system was more relaxed and the housing shortage was met, or there was even a over supply of homes, wouldn't that have a negative effect on housing prices as a investment strategy ?

Honestly I don’t think it’s about controlling supply of housing. I just think most councils are over worked and under staffed. But in my opinion the whole planning system needs to be streamlined

It would have a huge impact on the entire economy if all of a sudden there was an oversupply of property. The big national house builders build in phases partly for that very reason to keep prices at the "right level".

All of those homes promised are social homes, which is great but properties you wouldnt aspire to live in, there will always be a demand for good residential space vs council home

ngl, HMO sounds like an headache if you’re gonna own more than 10 properties 🤔

From what I’m seeing around 10+ properties (give or take) they usually start to put systems/teams in place to help manage it all💭
