Thanks Marq for another great video, I didn't know of Dunsford until I watched this. So another place to add to my every growing list of places to visit locally.

I used to live in Hambledon (Godalming edition), very close to Dunsfold. Lovely places.

I enjoyed visiting the well a few years ago. Was reading about a spring called the "Ladies Bowl" in Slaugham last week which I'd never heard of.

Slaugham is a place on the list actually.

Thank you for taking us along with you. What a beautiful place,so tranquil,could have sat by the spring for hours. I keep an emergency £5 note folded in my phone case 😊 Cash is so seldom needed nowadays.

Great video and I agree the energies there at the holy well are potent and as you rightly say likely indicative of British/Pagan settlement

Those pews were different! There was the most beautiful flower arrangement on that ancient font. So many towns called Holywell over the U.K. because of a local ‘holy well’ there. I love yew trees too- so ancient & unfortunately not given preservation orders- if the church wants to cut it down they just can go ahead with no comeback!

That's interesting Diana, I didn't know there are no preservation orders! That's a shame.

Another interesting video Marq, thank you. If you are interested in William Morris, head over to NT house Standen on the outskirts of East Grinstead where they have lots of interesting artefacts of his.

PS I found Dunsfold when returning from finding the Wey and Arun canal at nearby Loxwood. Didn't stop but I will do next time I'm over that area

Have you ever been to Busbridge? There is a public footpath that goes near Busbridge Lakes (Paid entry) and connects with the first ancient Christian settlement in Godalming, there’s a convent up the road, which weirdly enough, my Dad’s birthplace!

I'm not aware of Busbridge but had a quick search and now I'm a little wiser.

Great video, Marq - a lovely church and well - looking at a map, the church is quite a long way from the main village - I assume it was the village that moved rather than the church?
@MarqEnglish

Wow, I don’t think I’ve ever been to a holy well before. I wish I lived near one. I’d be there all the time…I should find out if there’s one near me, if I can figure out how
