Big update:Ethan Chapin and Xana Kernodle’s bodies were first discovered by Ethan’s best friend who came over to the house that morning. He checked for Ethan’s pulse and yelled out for roommates to call 911. It is believed he also spoke to 911 dispatchers, but was not the only one. So to people out there who have judged Roomate DM, this is why you wait for the facts!!!

Ya think this gave them pause? Why else would you wait 8 hours. Gripped with fear is one thing in the heat of the moment. But AFTERWARDS, why not at LEAST protect yourself from possible harm by alerting the authorities....JUST IN CASE!!!! Duhhhhh.....ya think? Are college kids REALLY this clueless? She could have easily been the 5th victim! If I saw and heard all that racket and didn't, have a gun in reach to defend myself, you better be DARN SURE I'm calling in the calvary IMMEDIATELY. Even if it takes them 30 minutes to get there....(the police station was actually very close to that complex). Because they would at least maybe catch him or see him. fleeing the area! I'm not sure why, but the detail towards the end about the tulip farm owners naming a bulb blend after Ethan gave me literal full body chills in a way I've never experienced before. It’s heart wrenching. As someone who is an only child, I know that I am my mother’s entire heart and her entire world. Having a critical progressive disease myself, it has always been one of my greatest fears for what will happen if I end up dying before her. Just the thought of her facing the pain of losing her only child rips me apart. No parent should ever have to face that pain, but it hits in a different way when it’s an only child. Seeing and hearing Maddie’s dad just absolutely kills me. His entire life, heart and world was stolen from him so violently. I can’t even fathom how a parent goes about grieving that kind of a loss. My deepest and sincerest of prayers go out to all of these families. May God bless them and provide them with strength and comfort.

I had a near-fatal accident when we were in seventh grade, and my brother witnessed me being crushed by a huge metal-framed overhanging glass backboard in our school gym. We spent Christmas 2012 in the hospital. I almost lost him in October 2022. He was a passenger in a car that was hit by a semi. He's alive (miraculously) but getting that call at 3 am that I was going to lose the person who I have only ever lived 15 minutes without.

People who have never experienced a horrific traumatic experience rarely code an event as horrifically traumatic initially. The roommate may have just heard a scare then the guy leave and thought one of the roommates had a hookup that they kicked out. So because he maybe was rough with the girl, this roommate locked her door for good measure but didn’t code it as a quad hom I cide. The next day, there could have been shock and if they didn’t see how bloody it was on the third floor they may have again coded it as the couple just passed out and waited to call cops to not get anyone in trouble. I think this was an Occam’s razor situation. They used the simplest explanation for things like over drinking and bad hookups instead of quad mass acre with knife by a strange intruder. Many, besides true crime people, would do the same.

What if one of them didn’t die right away and by calling 911 their life could have been saved? Hard not to think if she didn’t want to call 911 why not call any one of her room mates on the phone to ask if they saw anything? Just seeing someone in your house and not knowing what has happened surely isn’t enough to go into that much shock?
@terrimarsh21032 жыл бұрын
@@misssamartypants I think it was reported that the victims died quickly. She heard what she believed was Kaylee playing with her dog. At some point she heard, "someone is here". Then later she heard some whimpering or crying and heard, "it's okay, I'm here to help." It doesn't sound like anything serious. Maybe she froze when she saw a male passing by but talked herself out of anything bad had happened. Maybe she had a false sense of security with Ethan being there.

@Beastbombshell that is honestly a disgusting thought to share. We don't know what was going through her head. Kendall said in the video that this girl was experiencing shock. I hope they can continue to find strength and be comforted in knowing how deeply their children loved and are loved.

@javayna23532 жыл бұрын
The fact that the creep entered a home with 6 young healthy people inside with intent to murder is real eye opening that having people with you is false security. Just because you aren’t alone doesn’t mean you are safe and we need to consider that. We need dogs, guard dogs, guns, cameras, and alarms.
@amietiger84642 жыл бұрын
As a mama, and a retired soldier...you really should take Angels advice. Arm yourself! Then take a gun safety course....the world we live in is scary and horrific and anything can happen to you. In the meantime, think scenarios through, and leave weapons that are not so obvious-like a good HEAVY vase by the bed. Both of my sofas have a knife under them just in case. However, there is a good possibility I could still be murdered so a gun is the best choice for me. Be careful, and more than ANYTHING utilize your locks, be vigilant, stay alert and stay alive. LOL I know this all sounds ridiculous, but if you are getting murdered or raped it will suddenly all make sense. OH! Also, invest in a good alarm system WITH cameras. Good luck sweetie!

I cannot express how beautiful it is that you focused on the most important thing, that being the lives and memories of Ethan, Xana, Madison, and Kaylee, and the dignity and support for their loved ones. Hi Kendall, my name is Emily. I’ve been watching you for a couple years now, and really appreciate your hard work. I am from Idaho, born and raised. I wanted to let you know, that your video on the Moscow murders, was absolutely amazing! I am in tears. Your reporting was so sincere, genuine, and very respectful. My step daughter’s best friend, was close friends with all of them, and her car was even parked out front when they were found. So as you can see, this case hits us so hard. This kind of thing just doesn’t typically happen, in rural Idaho. That may be why everyone, and all over Idaho, are still in shock. I have watched other peps on KZbin, no one has even come close, to reporting the facts, like you have. Wanted to say thank you for that! Please keep up the good work!
